Skywood Recovery

Skywood Recovery We are a residential treatment facility that firmly believes that everyone has the ability to recover There are no lone wolves in recovery.

Skywood is an extraordinary place that fosters healing through our staff, peer support and a restorative environment. As part of Foundations Recovery Network, our purpose is to create lifetime relationships for long-term recovery. You aren’t just experiencing rehab and treatment at Skywood; you’re developing the skills and relationships you need to propel you into a brand new life. Establishing this new life is also about finding ways to sustain it long past your days at the facility. Here are some things that we want you to know about our philosophy at Skywood:

You are connected. Just like how stars are part of constellations, you are inherently part of a network that reaches far beyond your imagination. You will have help, and be able to give back, as you achieve and pursue recovery. Your destiny is waiting for you. Feeling guilty or ashamed of what your life should be—or hasn’t been—is holding back your future. Imagine living freely and taking hold of who you’re meant to be as you begin to reclaim your identity. Uncovering your destiny is what recovery is all about. Healing does happen, and happiness is possible. The chances are great that you’ve overlooked the amount of restoration and gratitude that can happen in your life. Prepare to discover this again—or for the first time—as you embark on a journey of positive change. If you’re ready to take the first step toward recovery, contact us today. Physicians are on the medical staff of Skywood Recovery Center, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Skywood Recovery Center. Random Acts of Kindness Week 🤍

Recovery is built on small moments. A kind word. A shared story. A cup of coffee after a meeting. Someone saying, “I’m proud of you.”

During Random Acts of Kindness Week, we’re reminded that healing often starts with something simple — kindness.

In recovery, a random act of kindness can look like:
✨ Checking in on someone who’s newly sober
✨ Offering a ride to a meeting
✨ Sharing your story
✨ Dropping off a journal or encouragement note
✨ Simply listening without judgment

You never know when your small gesture could be the reason someone keeps going today.
Kindness costs nothing — but in recovery, it can mean everything. Let’s flood our community with compassion this week. Who can you encourage today? 💛

Welcome to our new Book Nook & Cozy Corner — a dedicated space created just for our clients.

This warm, inviting area offers a quiet place to relax, learn, reflect and reset in between appointments. Whether you’re diving into a new book, practicing mindfulness or simply taking a few peaceful moments for yourself, this space was designed with comfort and healing in mind.

Recovery isn’t just about appointments — it’s about creating environments that support growth, education and self-care every step of the way. We’re so excited to offer this calming corner as part of your journey. 💛

02/16/2026

Today is Presidents Day — and whether you have the day off from work, school or just a lighter schedule — take it as a gentle reminder to: Pause. Slow down. Breathe deeply. Reset.

We move through life constantly giving to others — our families, our jobs our communities. Today, give a little back to you. Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant. It can be simple, intentional, and meaningful:
✨ Sleep in without guilt
✨ Take a long walk outside and get some fresh air
✨ Journal your thoughts and set intentions for the week
✨ Read a few chapters of a book just for fun
✨ Schedule that appointment you’ve been putting off
✨ Try a new workout — or stretch and unwind with yoga
✨ Call someone who fills your cup
✨ Take 10 quiet minutes to simply breathe

Rest is productive.
Pausing is powerful.
Exhaling is necessary.
However you spend today, let it include at least one thing that supports your mind, body, or spirit.
You deserve it. 💛

🍽️ Connection Over Lunch in Grand Rapids

Our Business Development Rep, Matt, enjoyed a great lunch meeting with the team at The Fountain Hill Center in Grand Rapids.

It was a pleasure learning more about their practice and having the opportunity to share how Skywood supports individuals on their recovery journey. Conversations like these remind us how powerful collaboration can be when we’re all working toward the same goal—helping those in need of our services.

Thank you, Fountain Hill Center, for the meaningful conversation. We look forward to continued partnership and impact in our community. 💙

January is Substance Use Disorder Treatment Month.

This month, we shine a light on the stigma surrounding substance use disorders—and work to break it. Stigma can prevent people from seeking help, yet recovery begins with understanding, compassion and access to support.

Skywood Recovery is here for everyone impacted by substance use disorders, including:
•Individuals considering or seeking help
•Practitioners providing or exploring treatment options
•Friends, family and loved ones affected by substance use

Our caring admissions team is available 24/7 to provide support and offer a level of care, confidential assessment.
📞 Call 888-617-5549

You are not alone. Help is always within reach. 💙

In the video shared, we’re reminded of something powerful: empathy and compassion can change lives.

Mental health and substance use struggles are often invisible, and the people carrying them may be family members, coworkers, patients, friends—or complete strangers. A kind word, a listening ear or simple understanding can make more of a difference than we realize.

Let’s choose compassion in every interaction. It costs nothing, yet it means everything. 💙
