Happy Friday! ☀️

What a fun and festive week at Angels of Colorado! 💕☺️

🏘️ In-Center Activities:
We kept our Valentine’s spirit strong by making beautiful heart crafts ❤️ to decorate and take home. Our groups also worked on puzzles 🧩 to keep our minds sharp and followed body stretch videos to stay active and energized 💪. Our clients did a wonderful job participating, encouraging one another, and staying physically engaged throughout the week.

🚐 Community & Outings:
We had an exciting trip to the zoo 🦁 where everyone enjoyed seeing the animals and spending time outdoors together. We also visited the Denver Art Museum 🎨 and explored inspiring artwork while sharing our thoughts on our favorite pieces. To continue the Valentine’s fun, we stopped by Walmart to check out the adorable Valentine’s plushies 💝. We also visited the Salvation Army for some thrifting and community exploration.

🌭💕 Palentine’s Day Party:
To wrap up the week, we celebrated with a festive Palentine’s Day party! We enjoyed delicious hotdogs, sweet desserts, decorations, and lots of laughter. It was the perfect way to celebrate friendship and togetherness.

It was a week full of creativity, movement, community outings, and Valentine’s cheer. 💗 Thank you for being part of the Angels of Colorado family — we hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day weekend, and we can’t wait to see you all next week!

What an incredibly eventful week at Angels of Colorado Day Program! Our clients stayed busy, creative, and active both in the center and out in the community! ☺️

📸 With so many great moments captured, there will be more than one post this week to share all the photos!

🏘️ In-Center Activities:
We enjoyed heart crafts💛, bracelet making, and a little bit of lion painting 🎨. Our groups also helped prepare a delicious baked ziti 🍝 and had fun playing football 🏈 together.

🚐Community & Outings:
We had the chance to get out and explore with visits to Nickel-A-Play, the library 📚, and Trails for workouts and swimming 🏊. We also spent time thrift store observing, had lunch at Sam’s Club, and enjoyed trips to IKEA, the zoo 🦁, the park 🌳, Hobby Lobby, and Bass Pro Shops.

It was a week full of learning, creativity, movement, and connection.💛 Thank you for being part of the Angels of Colorado family — we can’t wait to see what next week brings!

✨ Here's a Look Back at Last Week at Our Adult Day Program✨

Our clients had an amazing week packed with creativity, laughter, and meaningful moments. Here’s what made it so special:

🧶 Winter Bracelet Making – Our clients enjoyed choosing colors, practicing fine motor skills, and creating beautiful bracelets to wear or share.

🧩 Puzzles & Crossword Puzzles – We kept our minds active while working together, encouraging problem-solving, focus, and teamwork.

🎨 Finger Painting – A favorite for self-expression! Clients explored colors and textures while creating unique works of art.

💌 Valentine’s Day Crafts – We spread love and creativity by making festive crafts to celebrate friendship and kindness.

🍰 Baking Cakes – From mixing ingredients to tasting the final results, baking was a fun and rewarding sensory experience for our clients.

🦋 Butterfly Pavilion Visit – A beautiful outing where we enjoyed nature, learned about butterflies, and shared lots of smiles.

🚶‍♀️ Mall Walk – A great way to stay active while enjoying conversation, people-watching, and a change of scenery.

🎮 Nickel-A-Play Trip – So much fun! We played games, cheered each other on, and especially loved the air hockey competition.

🎯 Connect 4 & Group Games – Friendly games encouraged social interaction, turn-taking, and plenty of laughs.

💪 Exercise Time – We focused on movement, stretching, and staying strong in a way that’s fun and accessible for all.

🤝 Salvation Army Activity – A meaningful opportunity to give back, build community connections, and practice kindness.

Happy Wednesday! 🌤️

We hope everyone is staying warm during this chilly week ❄ Due to technical difficulties with our page last Friday, we're sharing last week's activity newsletter today.

📸 Photo Update:
We captured so many great moments last week that it will take two posts to share all of the pictures! Be sure to check both posts so you don’t miss anything 😊

Center Activities 🧩🎨🍳
Participants stayed engaged with a variety of hands-on activities. We practiced life skills by counting money 💵 and making grilled cheese sandwiches 🥪. Everyone enjoyed playing board games and completing puzzles 🧠 to encourage social interaction and problem-solving. Creative time included making owl 🦉 and polar bear 🐻‍❄️ crafts, which supported fine motor skills and self-expression.

Community & Outings 🚍🏙️
Before the cold weather set in, our clients enjoyed several outings in the community. Our clients visited the Salvation Army to explore items and practice community navigation skills. We also went to the mall for lunch 🍽️, spent time at the arcade 🎮, enjoyed a movie 🎬, and explored the Aurora History Museum 🏛️. A stop at Walmart allowed us to check out Valentine’s Day displays 💕, and we wrapped up with a relaxing visit to the library 📚.

Happy Friday! ☀️


We had an amazing week packed with creativity, movement, learning, and community adventures. Indoors, we made winter hat crafts (even though it still feels like spring!)🧢, stretched and exercised to keep our bodies moving🙆🏽‍♀️💪🏼, challenged our minds with chess ♟️and crossword 🧩, and cooked up a delicious batch of pigs in a blanket🐷🥐 We also got out into the community with exciting trips to the museum🖼️, the zoo,🐘🐢 and the mall👟🛒. Best of all, we captured so many photos of the big smiles, laughter, and joyful moments shared throughout the week 😁 — memories we’ll be smiling about for a long time! 💙📸

So many activities, so many smiles — we’re already excited for what’s next! 💙

Happy Friday & HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳🎊☃️🕹️👾📚🪴

We wrapped up a wonderful first week of January, full of fun, learning, and fresh starts as we welcomed the New Year 2026 🎆

Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to:
• Celebrating the New Year 2026 – We kicked things off by talking about new beginnings and sharing our excitement for the year ahead. 🥳
• Walking at the Park – We enjoyed some fresh winter air with a relaxing park walk, observing nature and staying active. 🍃
• Winter Crafts – Creativity was flowing as we made adorable cotton ball snowmen, practicing fine motor skills and having lots of fun. ☃️
• Library Visit – A trip to the library gave us time to explore books, listen to stories, and encourage a love of reading. 📖
• IKEA Adventure – We explored furniture and displays, sparking curiosity, imagination, and plenty of conversation. 🪑
• Nickel Play – A playful outing filled with movement, laughter, and hands-on fun. 👾

It was truly a great first week of January, and we’re excited for all the learning and adventures still to come. Thank you for being part of our journey — here’s to an amazing 2026 ahead!
