Excitement in the air ‼️ Given the complexity of the times we live in Mile High Behavioral Healthcare/Comitis Crisis Center, which we are really excited to announce 📣 that we continue to offer high-quality behavioral healthcare to Colorado -given all the funding cuts and short falls in local state and federal budgets . Our Delaware facility has reached its maximum capacity on space so we purchased auxiliary units. It is going to be a triple wide, adding 2100 square feet , two group rooms and six offices to the service delivery. We are also upgrading the Delaware Office Building more information to follow on the renovations .

Subject: Urgent Action Needed: Stand Against Funding Cuts

Dear Friends,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to share my concerns about a recent decision made by the federal government to significantly reduce funding for prevention, intervention, treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support services. This reduction, amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, poses a serious threat to the care plans and recovery journeys of many individuals in our communities.

These services are not just crucial for personal recovery; they are foundational for the health and well-being of our entire community. Access to comprehensive support is essential for supporting resilience, reducing substance use, and promoting overall public health. Without these critical resources, we risk undermining the progress we’ve made together.

I urge you to take immediate action. Please call Congress at 202-224-3121 and express your disapproval of the funding cuts supported by Secretary Kennedy. Let them know that a healthy community depends on robust support systems for prevention and recovery.

It’s time - past time- to address crucial issues surrounding gun violence and community support, especially in the wake of tragedies today at Evergreen High School/Colorado- shooting. It’s important to acknowledge not only the physical injuries sustained by students but also the emotional and psychological impacts on the entire community that can last a lifetime .

Addressing gun violence requires collective action, including advocating for policy changes, increasing mental health resources, and honest open dialogues about safety in schools. Supporting the affected individuals and families through counseling services and community outreach can also make a significant difference.
