Juniper Village At Aurora

Juniper Village At Aurora Assisted Living community specializing in the care of those with Alzheimer's and related forms of dementia

Juniper Village at Aurora has been recognized by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America as an AFA Excellence in Care Giving community, the first and only community to receive this award to date in Colorado. Juniper Village at Aurora, located in the Denver/Highlands Ranch area, is a caring assisted living community for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias. Our Wellspring Memory Care program offers a life-affirming, therapeutic environment where we emphasize strengths and support wellness. We provide a wealth of activities to help each individual stay fit and connected socially. Our unique programs are designed to integrate families and a diverse network of health care providers into the fabric of daily life. Home to approximately 52 individuals, our residence features four uniquely decorated house areas, each with it’s own living room, dining room, kitchen and private bedrooms, with private bath. Each house opens into the central "Town Square" where the day’s activities beckon, including the Town Hall Activities Room, Art Studio, Quiet Haven, Sweet Shoppe, Exercise/Spa/Massage Suite, and Resident Office. And for added peace of mind, the building and grounds are fully-secured with an integrated resident-to-staff call system, and exterior door security system.

We are so proud to shine a spotlight on Maria Rivera! Maria has been a dedicated part of our team for 22 years, and her devotion as a lead caregiver is evident in everything she does. She is incredibly passionate about the close relationships she has built with community members and their families, always going the extra mile to ensure everyone feels valued and loved.

Maria often shares how grateful she is to work alongside such a wonderful group of coworkers and leaders, noting that the team truly feels like a family. When she isn't here making a positive impact, she loves shopping, traveling to her home country, and cooking for her grandkids. Spending quality time caring for her own family brings her just as much joy as the care she provides here. We are so lucky to have her!

Managing healthcare can be overwhelming! Scheduling appointments across town, communicating with different doctors, and tracking prescriptions can feel like a full-time job.

Our innovative Connect4Life program relieves that stress by bringing key healthcare partners on site, and having our skilled Medical Concierge coordinate it all!

For residents, that means personalized attention, fewer trips out for medical care, and more time for things and people you love.

For families, it means peace-of-mind, knowing there’s a team collaborating behind the scenes and paying attention to the details.

For healthcare providers, it means access to the complete, real-time information to facilitate the best outcomes for your patients.

The best part is Connect4Life works! Not only are residents happier - they’re also healthier. Third-party research shows Juniper residents are 50% less likely to require a hospitalization than peers.

Community members recently spent an afternoon crafting colorful bird feeders by threading cereal onto pipe cleaners. The project allowed everyone to get creative while making a focal point for bird watching. Once the feeders were finished, we headed outside to hang them up and enjoy a bit of fresh air together.

We were thrilled to celebrate a birthday for beloved community member, John, who was in high spirits as he marked his special day surrounded by his family. He loved the delicious chocolate cake and the thoughtful book he received as a gift.

One of the most touching moments of the day was sharing a heartfelt slideshow that chronicled moments of John's life. He absolutely loved revisiting those memories, and the slideshow brought countless smiles to everyone in the room. We are so glad we could help create such a meaningful experience, and John's family expressed their sincere gratitude for a day that was so clearly filled with love and cherished reflections.
