Family Counseling Service Helping people in our community navigate behavioral health challenges and develop the ability to thrive since 1925.

Serving more than 4,000 families in the Fox Valley area each year, FCS provides youth mentoring services as well as behavioral healthcare for all ages. Our goal is simple: help people learn the skills they need to succeed in life. From children and adolescents learning the life skills, to helping families and individuals learn to manage the symptoms of a mental health problem, our goal is to strengthen our community, one person at a time.

We loved being a West Aurora High School Wellness Series Partner during student lunch periods last Wednesday (11/12). Our team enjoyed connecting with students, answering questions, and sharing information about the counseling and support services FCS offers.

We also talked with students about the ways they like to practice self-care, and they shared some amazing ideas on our Post-it note board! 💛

At FCS, we’re here to help teens build confidence, navigate challenges, and access the support they need to thrive. We look forward to more opportunities to partner together in support of student wellness!

Join Us Tonight for First Friday! 🍁

We’d love for you to stop by our Aurora Office (70 S River Street) tonight from 5-8 pm for an evening of free family-friendly fun!

We will have crafts for kids, treats for all, and a festive fall-themed atmosphere. It’s a great way to celebrate the season of gratitude with family and friends.

Downtown Aurora will be hopping tonight with many businesses hosting in their spaces for First Friday tonight, we hope to see you for this fun night out!

Your mental health matters every day of the year. If your own mental health (or a loved one’s) has been feeling a little spooky lately, we’re here to help

Our office is closed on Fridays, but feel free to give us a call at (630) 844-2662 on Saturday morning when we reopen if you'd like to schedule an appointment. For the first time in years - we have no waitlist.

It was wonderful seeing so many families stop by our Aurora office. Your costumes, smiles, and Halloween spirit made the day unforgettable. 🎃

Founded in Aurora nearly 100 years ago, we are our community’s nonprofit agency that helps any and all of our neighbors achieve emotional well-being. With community support, our diverse programs strengthen our entire community by helping courageous people - including schoolchildren, families, and seniors, from every socioeconomic segment - to overcome the emotional barriers that hold them back from their life goals.
