☀️ We’re just one week away from Summer Registration opening on Monday, April 13th! Now is the time to explore the program guide, build your plan for the season, and take a few minutes to complete your pre-registration checklist so everything runs smoothly on registration day.

All participants must complete a new Annual Information Form (AIF) for the 2026–2027 program year. Be sure to also submit any forms that apply to you, including seizure information, medication dispensing, support and transfer requests, and allergy/EpiPen forms.

🚐 Earlier this week, our newest bus officially hit the road and made its first trip to FVSRA programs! After months of registration and preparation, it was exciting to see it in action, doing exactly what it was meant to do.

Alaina Zocher, who won the opportunity to name the bus, was there for the very first ride to Supper Club. Getting to see “Party” arrive and use the chair lift to board for its first trip made the moment even more meaningful.

This addition to our fleet expands our ability to provide reliable, accessible transportation for individuals attending programs across our communities. Having another wheelchair accessible bus on the road helps ensure more individuals can participate, stay connected, and enjoy the experiences that matter to them.

🌳 Step into spring with us! Join the FVSRA Caregiver Network on April 11th for a Springtime Stroll & Nature Discovery. We will be exploring the Red Oak Nature Center in North Aurora from 10:30am-12:30pm.

Enjoy a relaxed walk along the trails, take in the signs of the season, and spend time connecting with other caregivers and families. After the stroll, stick around to explore the Nature Center and continue the conversation in a welcoming, supportive space. All are welcome to join us!

🏀 Go Bulls! Last week, we headed to the United Center for a night of basketball and great company. The Chicago Bulls took on the Toronto Raptors, and while the final score wasn’t what we hoped for, we still had a great time cheering and enjoying the game with friends!

🎭 Earlier this week, our Performing Arts Program took the stage for their grand performance!

After a season of hard work and practice, these talented performers showcased their skills in front of friends and family. From singing and dancing to comedy and improvisation, each act brought confidence, creativity, and so much energy to the stage. Congratulations to all of our performers on an incredible show!

We are proud to partner with Rising Lights Project for a sensory friendly egg hunt at Windy Acres Farm!

🐣 Join us on Saturday, March 28 from 2:30-4:00pm for a fun and inclusive egg hunt designed with sensory needs in mind. Families can enjoy the experience in a more supportive, lower stress environment where everyone can feel comfortable and included.
