Heart House Inc. The Heart House is a 72 bed homeless shelter serving individuals and families in Southeastern Indiana

The Heart House not only provides a warm place to sleep & 3 meals a day, but we also implement a personal redevelopment program that assists residents in developing the proper life skills needed to promote successful independent living. We offer the following programs:

EMPLOYMENT - Job Counseling & Skill Assessment
FINANCE - Budgeting & Money Management
HOUSEHOLD MANAGEMENT - Cooking/Nutrition
COUNSELING - Immediate Needs Assessment
CHILD CARE - Parenting Classes

With these programs the Heart House Inc. helps enable individuals, once in crisis, to become contributing members of their communities.

We offer job counseling and skill building, budgeting and money management, nutrition, cooking, and health education, peer coaching and resource support, and parenting guidance, along with safe spaces for children.
