We believe that people are healthier when they feel connected to others and accepted by their communities. We value education. We believe that educating our patients on health and wellness can inspire positive change and, at times, it can save their lives. We value and celebrate diversity. We value the courage and resilience with which our patients face adversity, even when they cannot see it with their own eyes. Eczema, food sensitivities, seasonal allergies, and asthma. Chances are, if you’ve ever suffered from one of these, you’ve suffered from more than one, if not all of them. This combination is so common that there is a name for it: the Atopic March (or the Allergic March). Instead of viewing them as separate diseases, Chinese Medicine sees them as manifestations of deeper imbalances that shift as a child or person grows. In TCM, we view the person holistically, and aim to treat the root cause. Read our whole blog post via the link in our bio (I might be biased, but I think it’s super interesting!) and book a free introductory phone call with us today to explore how we can help you overcome these chronic issues!

What to expect when we work together on teenage acne! A lot of teen clients see me after trying a bunch of other things that didn’t work or didn’t last long term. I work with your teen’s specific needs to make a customized plan that involves internal herbs, topicals, and sometimes acupuncture. If you would like to know more, set up a free phone consult via the link in our bio! 🌱

Our Story

Light & Dark Acupuncture was founded by Molly Dyer, L.Ac. to serve the purpose of providing the kind of attentive, connective, individualized healthcare experience that people deserve.

Molly Dyer, Licensed Acupuncturist, uses acupuncture, shonishin, herbal medicine, diet and lifestyle suggestions and other non-pharmaceutical options to get kids and their families back to doing what they love. In clinic, Ms. Dyer treats babies, kids, teens and adults around issues such as anxiety, insomnia, migraines, ADD, ADHD, frustration, tics and tremors, digestive issues and common colds and flus.

Ms. Dyer specializes in pediatric acupuncture. From a family of 14 children (a mixture of siblings, foster siblings and adopted siblings), working with children comes naturally to her. Ms. Dyer states that children respond quickly and powerfully to acupuncture and “shonishin,” a gentle non-needle, non-invasive acupressure system. Families often are astonished that their children would try acupuncture, but the key to helping children embrace this ancient system is building strong rapport and trust with the child, helping them feel empowered and encouraging their curiosity. Ms. Dyer works with the parents of her patients to embrace a lifestyle that promotes health for their children through small, achievable goals, games and exercises.
