We hosted a continuing education course on Dealing with Difficult Personalities for many of our social worker and nurse partners. Our presenter Becky Strilko did a fantastic job sharing concrete strategies to use when faced with challenging situations.

Recovery is rarely easy, and having the right people by your side can make all the difference.

Carol shared how the encouragement and support from her PurposeCare team in Aurora helped her regain confidence and independence after knee replacement surgery. She specifically recognized Dr. Maki and Nurse Orielle, whose consistent, positive care supported her progress and made a challenging recovery feel more manageable.

We’re grateful to Carol for sharing her experience, and to Dr. Maki and Orielle for the care they bring to every visit. This is what patient-centered care looks like in practice!

In celebration of Veterans Day, one of our transitional care liaisons Kathleen visited the Arc at Streator. She connected with veteran residents, one of which was Walter who is 107 years old (first photo) and was excited to share his story of serving during World War II! It was our pleasure to show our support to veterans.

To Walter and all veterans, thank you so much for your service and dedication. Happy Veterans Day!

Yesterday, we hosted the ribbon-cutting ceremony for our PurposeCare of Illinois-Morris branch. We appreciate everyone that came out to support us and our mission! Everyone enjoyed our delightful catering from The Cheese Shop and trying new flavors from Hello Boba. Special shoutout to Channahon General Rental for our tables and Shaws Awnings & Tents for our beautiful new awnings!

We also want to send a BIG thanks to the Grundy County Chamber of Commerce & Industry for meeting our staff and recognizing the impact our home health and home care services bring to the community.

Our team of highly skilled nurses and therapists are available to help care for patients in the comfort of their homes. Our Morris team looks forward to serving the residents of Grundy County as well as LaSalle, Livingston, Putnam, and Bureau counties!

Yesterday our PurposeCare of Illinois – Aurora team joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Naperville. It was a beautiful morning filled with inspiring stories and so much dedication to this important cause. Thank you to everyone who walked, donated or volunteered their time in support of the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
