Thomas Drugs closed it's doors for the final time on 3/11/26. Let me tell you about your prescriptions, and then I will elaborate about the why a little later.
All of our files were bought by Walgreens and sent to the Thornton Rd location. If you would prefer to not use Walgreens, you can have your pharmacy of choice call them to have the prescriptions transferred. Any prescription which had been paid for online, and any owed tablets, have been mailed to your home.
We solidified the sale last week and could not say anything until our final day, and we feel horrible that we had to be secretive. We truly hope that our decades of service will make up for the last few days. I would have loved to handle this better, but there really is no good/easy way to do this.
None of us are sick. We aren't in any trouble. We just all had gotten to the point where it was time for a change. We understand that people are shocked and inconvenienced. We know that almost everyone in Austell has a Thomas Drugs memory. It was just time.
