Every human is someone's child. Every single life is sacred. Grief doesn’t ask for citizenship. Neither does care.

This weekend, parents lost their son. Alex Jeffrey Pretti was 37 years old, an ICU nurse who spent his life caring for veterans. He was killed by federal agents in Minneapolis, the second person killed by ICE this month. The first was Renee Good, a 37-year-old mother.

Mothers across this country are afraid. Families are being torn apart during pregnancy, during birth, during postpartum, during death. Children are watching. Children are being taken.

This is not separate from maternal health. This is maternal health. Because you cannot care for mothers while ignoring the world that is traumatizing them.

Swishvo exists to connect mothers with whole-health care and healing, not just for their bodies, but for their grief, their fear, their spirit. And right now, there is so much grief. So much fear.

We believe healers are called to more than silence.

We believe whole health requires whole humanity.

2025 wasn't easy. But it was exactly what we needed.

This year, Swishvo stopped chasing and started building.

We listened to 2,400+ providers who told us they were ready. We studied the research, the policy, the reimbursement pathways. We tested. We paused. We rebuilt. We got precise.

And the work got recognized:

But here's what matters most,
We got clear on what we're building and why!

The healthcare system wasn't designed for holistic care, spiritual care, cultural care, or meaning-centered support. It treats doulas, chaplains, and holistic providers as "extra." Meanwhile, 80% of maternal deaths are preventable. Black mothers are dying at 3.5x the rate. And families are left to figure it out alone.

That's not a policy gap. That's a design flaw.

In 2026, we stop waiting for the system to catch up.
