Failed bunion surgery. Crossover toe. Told amputation was next.
Seven years of “just dealing with it.” 👣
She had already undergone bunion surgery once before… but it came back — and over time, it got worse.
Her second toe crossed over and lifted.
Regular shoes became nearly impossible — slippers were all she could tolerate.
She adapted. Wider shoes. Toe spacers.
She made it work.
But managing isn’t the same as living.
Eventually, she was told her toe may need to be amputated — often considered the standard approach for severe crossover deformities, especially after failed prior surgery.
But that wasn’t her only option.
At 76, she chose a different path.
A minimally invasive approach —
no hardware, no implants, no fixation —
and she was walking immediately after surgery.
What we corrected:
✨ Recurrent bunion deformity
✨ Severe crossover hammertoe
✨ Toe realignment to restore position and function
✨ Tendon balancing for long-term movement
All through tiny incisions.
No pins. No screws. No amputation.
Now she’s back in real shoes — not just for comfort, but for style.
Because you’re never too old to move better…
and you don’t have to keep living with it.
