We are so excited to welcome Dr. Dagga Magnúsdóttir to the Whole Athlete Team!

Born and raised in Iceland, Dr. Dagga graduated from Life University this past year with her Doctorate of Chiropractic.

Dr. Dagga is a lifelong athlete, competing in NAIA Track and Field during her time at Life U. Her experience as an athlete led her to sports chiropractic. Her goal is to help each patient move, feel, and perform their best!

Dr. Dagga is accepting a limited number of patients at our current office before we move to our new location — reach out to get scheduled!

Join us in welcoming her to Austin and leave her a local coffee shop or hiking trail to check out!

Cupping pulls the skin and fascia away from the muscles working like a massage in reverse. This allows for increased blood flow and reduces fascial adhesions in the treated area.

Often we will have the patient flex and extend the treated area to add in an active stretch and facilitate movement of the injured area.

While cupping is a safe and effective treatment, it does leave a temporary circular bruise as the pressure in the cup pulls capillary blood to the surface. These bruises are not painful and will typically go away within 7-10 days.
