Lori’s mother Shirley received rare, exact-matched platelets as part of her cancer battle, giving her precious extra time with her family. “How do you thank people who are so generous with their time of giving blood, especially platelets?” Lori asks. “Please never think that you are not appreciated or that your gift doesn’t matter.
