Found a significant amount of muscle spasm in Romer’s 15th rib. Working on it and already seeing a lot of improvement. Ribs fall out of place for all of us. He was showing signs of head shaking, which led me to start feeling around and sure enough, there is something going on. Listen to your horse💛 They’ll show you if something is going on.

Some horses hold on to tension with the fear of “the unknown” if they let go. I believe in the instinct of bracing that keeps a lot of horses in a chronic space of tension. Teaching a horse to take that leap of faith and letting go has been one of my favorite experiences in equine body work. It has a ripple effect into everything else they do. Letting go becomes almost addictive. And the body and brain melt into a calm, low frequency. So beautiful to witness.
