Trigger point injections are a great way to address areas of muscle within which knots, also known as trigger points, are present. These knots can be felt through the skin's surface, and when touched they may twitch involuntarily, thus irritating and trapping nearby nerves which in turn causes referred pain. Trigger point injections can be used to treat various muscle groups throughout the body such as those in the arms, legs, lower back and neck. They are often utilized to treat fibromyalgia, chronic tension headaches and Myofascial Pain Disorder that doesn't respond to other treatments. The procedure itself is quick and easy; it usually lasts no more than 5 minutes and patients remain conscious throughout. A small needle is inserted into the trigger point area followed by a local anesthetic or local anesthetic with steroid injection - both of which will help to reduce pain. Contact us today to find out if you're a candidate for trigger point injections for pain relief. https://ascentpainsolutions.com/treatments/

Harnessing the Body's Natural Healing Power with Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is a cutting-edge treatment that leverages the body's natural healing capabilities. PRP is produced by concentrating the platelets found naturally in a patient's blood. During a simple same-day procedure, physicians at Ascent Pain Solutions are able to isolate platelet-Rich Plasma from a small blood sample and inject it directly into injured or damaged tissues. If you have been struggling with chronic musculoskeletal pain, such as tendinopathy or joint inflammation, that has not responded to conventional therapies, PRP may offer a promising solution. To determine your eligibility and options for PRP, contact our office today to schedule a consultation.
