🛌 Sleeping habits have a tendency to change as we age. We know that 8 hours of sleep is the right amount of hours to sleep but that isn’t the case when you get older.

🌞 Older people find that they sleep earlier however also have a hard time sleeping and find themselves up in the wee hours of the morning.

🕑 On average the elderly only sleep 6.5 to 7 hours, some even less. Some factors that prevent sound sleep among the elderly are the medication they may be, pain and napping during the day.

🌜 Having ample sleep is needed to be able to get through each day easily. This can be done by following a regular sleeping schedule and avoiding naps in the late afternoon to evening.

✅ Be involved in developing their own hospice plan

✅ Be free from mistreatment and any form of abuse
