This morning our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Austin public library-- Central library downtown!
Our fantastic volunteer guide, Pat, let us through each floor as we explored the library's many highlights-- including the vibrant Children and Teen spaces, the Innovation Lab with 3D printed creations, the cozy café, beautiful outdoor patios, rotating art exhibits and murals, an array of community resources, and of course thousands of books waiting to be discovered.
On one floor, we even watched a couple exchange wedding vows for their own little wedding service! 👰🏻♀️🤵🏻♀️💍
Fun fact: this award-winning Central Library is known for its stunning six-story atrium, sustainable design, and one of the best public library views in Texas from its rooftop garden patio. It also houses a collection of more than 500,000 items and serves as a major cultural hub for the city.
We loved learning, exploring, getting in some exercise, and soaking in such an inspiring Austin treasure together! 📚 ✨
