✨ Meet Brook, Patient Service Representative Lead at Ally Medical ER South Austin ✨
Our Patient Service Representative Leads are often the very first connection patients have with our ER. They help create a calm, welcoming environment while guiding families through registration and important next steps during stressful moments.
For Brook, the South Austin community stands out for its heart.
“Our community truly relies on one another. We come together for the joyful moments as well as the difficult ones. I’ve seen this firsthand during natural disasters, food and toy drives, and community prayer events. There is a genuine sense of support and togetherness here.”
Outside of work, Brook describes herself as a homebody.
“I love to read, bake, and ‘Netflix and cuddle’ with my couch-potato dog. When I’m out and about, you’ll usually find me hiking, near any body of water, or seeing the world through my camera lens.”
She describes herself as creative, impulsive, and kind.
“Since I was young, I’ve always had to have some kind of creative project going. I’m impulsive in fun ways — spontaneous road trips, redecorating, or an ice cream run at 1 a.m. But kindness is my go-to. You never know how one small act of kindness can impact someone’s day.”
Compassion resonates most with her among Ally Medical ER’s core values.
“Our work can be stressful, and it’s important to give one another grace. When we show compassion to each other, it naturally carries over to the care we provide our patients.”
With a background in 9-1-1 dispatch and social services, Brook feels called to serve people during vulnerable moments.
“Being a calm, welcoming presence helps patients know from the very beginning that we care.”
As a Patient Service Representative Lead, she values being the first point of contact and helping patients begin the process of getting better. She wants patients to know their experience is about much more than paperwork — their comfort and well-being always come first.
Show some love for Brook in the comments 💙
