Lucent Recovery and Wellness was recently featured on the news discussing a topic that many people quietly struggle with:

How do you know when it’s time to seek more support?

As Clinical Director Matt Bolden shared, one of the biggest gaps in mental health care today is the lack of a true middle ground.

Most people are familiar with:
• Weekly therapy
• Inpatient hospitalization

But what happens when therapy isn’t enough… and hospitalization isn’t appropriate?

That’s where structured outpatient care comes in.

At Lucent, programs like Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) are designed to bridge that gap by providing:

• More frequent clinical support
• Group + individual therapy
• Medication management
• Real-world integration through experiential care

This isn’t about “more therapy.”
It’s about the right level of structure.

Because progress doesn’t just depend on what happens in session.
It depends on whether support holds between sessions.

That’s why Lucent emphasizes:
• Connection with others facing similar challenges
• Practical skills like emotion regulation and stress management
• Experiential work in real environments (nature, community, daily life)

As highlighted in the interview, many people today are navigating increasing stress, expectations, and emotional load. Without the right level of care, that pressure can turn into anxiety, depression, or burnout.

Lucent’s approach is built around one core principle:

Match the level of care to the level of need.

If you’ve ever wondered whether weekly therapy is enough, or what options exist between outpatient and inpatient care, this is exactly the conversation to be having.

At Lucent, we are thrilled to offer a number of modalities to help our clients heal from trauma related disorders.

One of these offerings is Brainspotting, a form of trauma therapy derived from EMDR. Brainspotting differs from EMDR by focusing in on a singular “spot” connected to stored trauma in the brain and body.

Lucent client wins are always worth celebrating 🙌

Last month we all had a lot to be grateful for, so we spent the month taking clients on a bunch of experiential activities!

A couple notable spots were the rage room, kayaking, a movie outing, fishing, and disc golf.

We can’t wait to see what our clients get to celebrate in 2026!
