🌸 Spring Break Day Camp Fun! 🌸
Our Autism Friendly Austin Spring Break Day Camp was filled with adventure, laughter, and new experiences!

Participants started the day by riding the LIFE bus to the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center, where they enjoyed crafts, golf cart tours of the nature center, and time exploring the Interpretive Center. After the trip, everyone returned to LIFE Mower County for lunch and games.

The fun continued when Just For Kix joined us for an energetic dance party. The day wrapped up with an unexpected bonus—an unplanned walk to the park at Horace Austin Park, which made for a perfect ending to a great day.

A big thank you to Bernie N., Amanda L., Sheri M., Josie R., and Catherine H-W for leading and supporting our first Spring Break Day Camp. Your time and energy helped make the day special for everyone involved. 💙

🥓🍺 Help Needed for the Beer, Bacon & Beignets Fundraiser! 🍩

LIFE Mower County is looking for two food trucks licensed in the City of Austin to help with our Beer, Bacon & Beignets Fundraiser on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

Here’s how you can help:

Food Truck #1: Cook bacon that is being donated by Hormel Foods
Food Truck #2: Make beignets that would be donated by the food truck

Both food trucks are welcome to sell other food items during the event.

This fun community fundraiser supports children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities at LIFE Mower County, and your help would make a big difference.
