Mambe is understood as a sacred medicine that supports the body in ways that reflect deeper spiritual alignment. Physically, it offers calm, grounded energy, mental clarity, and endurance without overstimulation. It supports digestion and circulation, helping the body assimilate both nourishment and experience. Mambe also helps release heaviness and tension, creating a sense of lightness and flow. Ultimately, its physical benefits invite embodiment and presence, allowing the body to become a clear, grounded vessel for listening, prayer, and connection. 🍃

An ancient system of Amazonian plant-spirit healing, a plant dieta is the next step for people who have previously attended an ayahuasca retreat with us at The Hive.
This profound, deep healing work combines ayahuasca ceremonies with a master plant or tree diet, reaching into and cleansing the taproots of traumas and self-limiting programs that affect us on physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual levels.
We are honored to invite our Hive family to join us as we return to our sacred initiatory homeland of Peru. Together, we will enter the Amazonian jungle to our beloved Oni Nai family, where we will be received by Maestro Francisco, Neten, and the rest of the Ventura family. Guided by the founder of The Hive, Maria Camila, as well as Joseph MartĂnez, and facilitated by traditional doctor and fourth-generation Shipibo curandero Maestro Francisco and his daughter Neten, this retreat is designed to support each individual on their path of awakening and healing.
This master plant dieta is a traditional process of meeting and connecting with the spirits of the plants, enabling the specific plant spirit to directly share its teachings and wisdom and to imbue and embed its healing medicine within you.
By creating a respectful bond with a plant spirit, you ensure their guidance and assistance during your healing journey. By dieting a master plant or tree, you build a relationship with the spirit (ibo in Shipibo) that analyzes the biography of your life and helps you recognize the errors of your ways—your blind spots, judgments, projections, the roots of your pain, where your life is out of balance, and the source of your psycho-emotional struggles. Deep awareness of who and what you really are flowers from within during and after the process of a dieta.
Through showing commitment, devotion, and respect to the plant, coupled with trusting and surrendering to the process, a profound shift in your relationship with yourself arises. When you have established a connection with the plant, it becomes an inner guide and ally that supports you for the rest of your life.

Relatives,
As we move into season of change 🍁 and gathering, many of us will be coming together today with friends and family to share food, presence, and warmth. This time of year offers a natural pause, a moment to breathe and acknowledge the blessings that weave through our lives.

Long before colonial history, communities across the world honored this season as the time of harvest, a time to give thanks for the fruits the Earth gave us. Indigenous peoples of this land, and of many lands, lived in deep relationship with the cycles of nature and offered gratitude daily for what the Earth provided. Their traditions of giving thanks did not depend on a holiday…. They were a way of life. Today we stand on their ancestral ground and hold their resilience, their suffering, and their continuing presence in our hearts.

While many today know this time as Thanksgiving, I would also like to invite the knowledge that for many Indigenous families it is a complicated day, woven with both remembrance and grief. Honoring this truth creates room for a deeper kind of gratitude, one that is more coherent, conscious, and connected to the wisdom beneath our feet. Knowledge reminds us of choice, and choice is freedom.

As we gather, may we allow this season to remind us of what truly matters. The gift of community. The blessing of shared meals. The comfort of being held by people we love. The miracle of being alive in a body, on this Earth, in this moment.

And may we remember that gratitude is not meant for one day. It is a daily practice, a way of seeing and relating to life 🤎

May we carry it in our breath, in our choices, and in the way we care for one another and for the Earth!

Blessings Family, Maria Camila

Dear family,
As we move into the season of gratitude, we want to take a moment to thank you for walking this path with us. Journey Back to Soul was born from the intention to walk gently on the earth, to care for our bodies as sacred vessels, and to live in harmony with what sustains us. While we don’t encourage consumerism, we recognize that this season is often one of giving, preparation, and gathering. Many of us use this time to purchase what we already need or plan to gift to loved ones. In that spirit, we’re offering a window of time to support conscious, high-quality purchases with care and intention.
From November 1st through November 18th, you can use the discount code Thanksgiving20 to receive 20% off your order. This offering is our way of giving back, allowing you to make your purchases before the usual Black Friday and Cyber Monday rush, while still receiving the benefit of a seasonal discount.
Please note that from November 19th through December 3rd, our founder, Maria, will be taking time for nourishing rest, travel, and connection with her family. During this period, no orders will be fulfilled, as we honor this time for slowing down and renewal.
We invite you to make your purchases before November 18th if there are items you’ve been waiting for, so you can receive them before our brief pause.
Thank you for being part of this community and for walking with awareness, gratitude, and heart. Your support allows us to continue creating in alignment with nature, with purpose, and with love.

With gratitude,
Maria Camila

As we step into November, we’re invited to pause and notice the subtle shift in rhythm — the quiet call to turn inward, to gather warmth, and to tend to what truly matters. This is the season of integration, reflection, and gentle recalibration before the closing of the year.
Our offerings this month are designed to support that journey. Each gathering, circle, and practice is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and cultivate presence in community. Whether you’re seeking grounding, clarity, or space to simply breathe, we welcome you to join us in these intentional moments.
Let this be your reminder that nourishment comes not from doing more, but from allowing yourself to simply be.
Explore our November calendar, find what resonates, and make space for what restores you.

🍂November arrives as an invitation to slow down and breathe a little deeper.
To soften into presence and let gratitude lead the way.
As the year begins to wind down, this is the moment to reflect — on what has grown, what has shifted, and what still wants to unfold.
This month, we’re honoring the beauty of stillness, of tending to what truly matters, and of creating spaciousness for rest and reconnection.

We are honored to support you in your journey towards self-discovery and healing through the use of sacred practices. Kambo is a beautiful healing ritual used mainly in South America, named after the poisonous secretions of the giant monkey frog, or Phyllomedusa bicolor. The frog secretes the substance as a defense mechanism to kill or subdue animals that try to eat it. Indigenous people have used kambo for centuries to heal and cleanse the body by strengthening its natural defenses and warding off bad luck. It was also believed to increase stamina and hunting skills. The peptides in kambo are noxious to the human body, so the immune system becomes hyperactive in an attempt to purge the toxicant from your system—hence, the vomiting, inflammation, and severe flu-like symptoms. Many practitioners describe 3 kambo treatments as “the vaccination,” due to its ability to intensely activate the immune system. It is highly advisable to complete the vaccine inside one Moon cycle for best results.

Ceremony typically begins with Hapé administration, followed by the application of Sananga on the eyes. Before proceeding with the Kambo application, the participant will drink about 3 liters of water. During the kambo treatment, Maria Camila will burn a series of spots on the skin with a piece of charred wood. Next, dried kambo is applied to the open wounds. From the wound, the kambo enters the lymphatic system and bloodstream, where it’s said to race around the body scanning for problems. Within mere minutes, the peptides in the kambo trigger an intense immune response, helping you purge of what no longer serves you, to make room for all that does. Throughout the ceremony Maria Camila will supervise your process and guide you, using oils, incenses, and other shamanic tools that will help enhance your experience.
