It really is amazing what can happen when you stay consistent, have some education around food (it’s not always about eating less), really dial in your form in the gym, and have someone to hold you accountable to it all!!

Every year I ask myself: What’s the one thing that made the BIGGEST difference for me - sometimes it’s a habit, sometimes it’s a product.

I’ve boiled it down to 3 things.

1. Moving to Florida. As cheesy as it sounds this move was what my heart and soul needed. Was it scary? Absolutely. Was it the reset and new start I needed? Absolutely. The new friends, the volleyball community, the environment, being closer to my parents,… it’s all been such a blessing!

2. Carbs. Yes. You read that right! Take it from someone who intermittent fasted for 8+ years. Now I won’t miss breakfast. I’ve increased my calories to 2500 a day. And let’s just say my metabolism // body is loving it! Less is not always more. And one thing I’ve learned - especially for women… as we get older, our hormones really don’t like fasting!

3. Amare products. Imagine the food noise and sensitivity being gone. Imagine things that used to spiral you out of control not affect you nearly as much anymore. Imagine waking up and not needing anything to get you going. Imagine no longer needing extensions because your hair is thicker and longer than ever before. Imagine not needing to get Botox because you’re taking care of cortisol on your skin. I could keep going. Needless to say our entire product line has become a one stop shop for my life and it was the healing I never knew I needed.

2025 has been a year of peace. A year of gratitude. A year of change. And a year of GROWTH!!

I challenge anyone who reads this until the very end … reflect on YOUR year. What has made the biggest difference for you? Emotionally. Mentally. Physically. Financially.

And if you can’t pick at least one thing out … what is a new habit or pivot you could make in 2026?!

Eating less isn’t always the answer… especially for women as we get older.

For a long time, I truly thought it was. I intermittent fasted for YEARS. And honestly, my stomach felt the best whenever I was basically starving myself. Less bloating, less inflammation, and with celiac, that felt like a win. I was barely eating, maybe around 1500 calories a day. News flash: NOT HEALTHY.

What I didn’t realize at the time was how hard that was on my hormones and metabolism. The truth is, what worked for us once doesn’t always work forever.

This past year, I’ve helped women speed up their metabolism and see real results by doing the opposite of what we were taught … eating MORE food and more carbs. And yes, at first it’s a total mind F***. But on the other side of that is a healed metabolism and a body that finally works with you, not against you.

Just sharing this for the woman who might need to hear it today.

I practiced intermittent fasting for 8 years. Now? I never miss breakfast.

Here’s what I’ve learned…
Intermittent fasting can be powerful for men, but for women..: especially as we get older, it can start working against us.

Our hormones, metabolism, and cortisol response are completely different. When we go too long without food, our stress hormone rises, our hunger signals get thrown off, and our body shifts into ā€œsurvival modeā€ instead of fat-burning, hormone-balancing mode.

Also, one of the biggest game changers for me has been eating protein before caffeine.

It stabilizes blood sugar, balances cortisol, helps with energy, and actually supports fat loss and muscle building the right way.

It’s wild what happens when you fuel your body instead of fight it.

All this to say… sometimes you’ve gotta pivot to see real change.

What worked for me then doesn’t work for me now and that’s OKAY.

If I’m being honest… I spent YEARS walking into the gym with zero plan.

Guessing my weights. Making up workouts on the fly. Doing whatever machine was open.
And wondering why my body wasn’t changing.

If you’re new, overwhelmed, or not sure where to start… you are NOT alone.

Here’s a super simple structure that will help you feel confident and actually see results:

What I’m doing now:
I’m in a building phase… putting on healthy muscle, getting stronger, and dropping fat.

Weeks 1–2: Focus on form + tempo. Slow, controlled reps. Feel the muscles working.

Weeks 3–4: Add 5–10 lbs to your compound lifts (squat, deadlift, bench, rows).

Weeks 5–6: Shorten rest periods by 15 seconds or add 1 extra set to your isolation moves.

Weeks 7–8: Revisit your Week 1 weights and aim for a 15–20% increase.

The further you get into the program you can even do a progressive overload, decrease reps each set (and up the weight until you fail), or finish with an AMRAP (as many reps as possible) set.

Save this for later or send it to your newbie friend who’s starting their 2026 gym era.

Because once you follow a structured 6–8 week program, with rest and recovery built in, and your nutrition is mostly on point… the results hit different.

Consistency > perfection.
Start where you are. The strength comes after.
