Learning about the life cycle of the silkworm has been such an exciting hands-on experience at our Austin preschool. ๐โจ From tiny eggs to growing caterpillars, spinning cocoons, and now patiently waiting for moths to emerge, our students are seeing science come to life right before their eyes.
Theyโve loved feeding the silkworms fresh mulberry leaves and watching their growth each day. ๐ฟ Itโs even more special because our school is home to a beautiful mulberry tree, giving us a natural, endless supply of leaves while also supporting local birds and wildlife ๐ฆ.
Moments like these are what make early childhood education so meaningful. Curiosity, discovery, and connection to nature all in one ๐.
