Now, let's meet the main host for this year's event and mastermind behind getting all of these amazing folks under one roof:
Sarah Hughes

Hello! I am Sarah Hughes, a birth doula, childbirth educator, and student midwife in North Austin. I am fiercely passionate about educating families about their options, so everyone feels empowered to make the choices right for them. Central Texas has such an amazing birth community. It has been an honor to bring these incredible perinatal professionals and experts together to share a bit of our expertise with families in our community. It is shaping up to be our best expo yet, we hope to see you there!

She has been instrumental in supporting the EXPO from its early days as Doula Share into this new model. If you see her at the even please be sure to give her a high five, hug and a thank you.

Let's meet our hosts for this year's event!

Meet our Co-host Lori Post!

Lori is certified as a Postpartum Doula, Baby Carrier Consultant, and Breastfeeding Educator. As a self-proclaimed nerd and avid learner, Lori has attended additional trainings, seminars, and conferences on perinatal mood & anxiety disorders, trauma-informed care, pregnancy and infant loss, parent coaching, and all things newborn care. Lori holds an MS Ed in Higher Education, a BA in Sociology, with a minor in Women's and Gender Studies.
Lori is deeply passionate about helping families as they welcome a new baby home, be it their first or their fourth. She believes families come in many forms and focuses on empowering and uplifting each of them with caring, hands-on support and evidence-based information, and resources. Lori loves supporting families in those early months as they embrace their journey and find their voice, strength, and confidence as parents.

When she is not working or surviving real life with her own not-so-small children, Lori loves getting outside, hiking, and volunteering with local organizations working to improve the lives of Central Texas parents and their families.

We are proud to have Mothers' Milk Bank at Austin be one of our returning community non-profit expo booths! Please stop by the Expo to learn about how they service the most tender of Austinites.

Mothers’ Milk Bank Austin provides lifesaving donor human milk to fragile infants in NICUs and families who need extra feeding support. If you are a healthy, breastfeeding parent with extra milk, you can turn your oversupply into hope for babies across Texas and beyond. Becoming a donor is simple — complete a short screening, receive approval, and drop off or ship your frozen milk to one of our convenient depots. Every ounce donated helps nourish the smallest lives and gives families peace of mind when they need it most.

Learn more or begin the donor screening process at milkbank.org/donate.
