BIG NEWS: I’m opening up some mobile appointments on Wednesdays and Saturdays for my Lakeway, Bee Cave, and Spicewood neighbors…I’ve have too many requests to ignore, so here we go again!

Some of you know I used to offer mobile lymphatic massage therapy full time. Since I opened my Lakeway office, I’ve enjoyed being closer to home, and having everything in its place. However, I still get those calls. “I can’t leave the house, I’m sore, I can’t drive…”

Well, how can I refuse?🤷‍♀️

So here’s the idea. On Wednesdays and Saturdays I’m coming to my clients in their homes. If you’re post-op a mommy-makeover, facelift, BBL, breast lift. or augmentation/reduction, etc. now you can rest easy and let your lymphatic massages come to you.

I’m excited to be on the road again to serve my local people. see you soon!

Tip for cedar fever sufferers: Eucalyptus essential oil. Why? it helps open bronchial passages and sinuses mainly through chemical, sensory, and reflex mechanisms, rather than by physically "clearing" mucous. Here's what's actually happening:

1. Euchalyptol (1,8-cineole) relaxes the airway’s smooth muscle.
Eucalyptol is the primal active compound in this essential oil. It has mild bronchodilatory effects, meaning it helps relax the smooth muscle surrounding airways.
This relaxation can slightly widen the bronchial tubes, making airflow feel easier. It also reduces airway hyper-reactivity, which is helpful when these tissues are congested or inflamed.

2. Anti-inflammatory action reduces swelling.
Inflamed sinus and bronchial lining swell and narrow the passages.
1,8-cineole suppresses inflammatory mediators like cytokines and prostaglandins.
Less inflammation = less tissue swelling = more open passageways.

3. Mucolytic effect thins mucous.
Eucalyptus doesn’t “dry you out” the way some decongestants do. Instead, it reduces mucus viscosity, helping thick secretions become thinner and easier to move.
Cilia (tiny hair-like structures in your airways) can then transport mucus more effectively. This improves drainage rather than forcing dryness.

4. Sensory nerve stimulation creates the “open” feeling.
This is the effect most people notice immediately. Eucalyptus stimulates cold-sensing nerve receptors, similar to menthol.
Your brain interprets this as increased airflow, even if the physical airway diameter hasn’t changed much yet. So you FEEL clearer almost instantly.

5. Mild antimicrobial properties.
While not strong enough to replace treatment, eucalyptus oil inhibits some bacteria and viruses. This may modestly reduce microbial load in the upper respiratory tract, supporting recovery.

The best way to use Eucalyptus is to either dilute it slightly with a vegetable oil and rub it on the chest; or put it in a nearby diffuser. Diffusers provide gentler, longer exposure to vaporized cineol.

Note: if you’re asthmatic, use caution, as strong aromas can trigger bronchiospasms in some people. Also, avoid using this potent essential oil in children, specially those under the age of 6, due to respiratory irritation.

I’m a bit of an essential oils geek, so I’m happy to discuss other Eos to blend with Eucalyptus oil and best times of day for you to use this amazing oil to live/breathe easier. 🪴👃🤓

No coffee?!

Tomorrow I’m starting a new chapter in my wellness journey—one focused deeply on reducing inflammation. That means leaning into an anti-inflammatory way of eating and, yes… saying goodbye to coffee ☕️ (at least for now).

This shift isn’t about restriction—it’s about support. The lymphatic system plays a huge role in how our bodies manage inflammation, fluid balance, and detoxification. Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump—it relies on what we do every day: what we eat, how we move, how we hydrate, and how we manage stress.

Chronic inflammation can slow lymphatic flow, creating stagnation and congestion in the body. By choosing foods that calm inflammation—think colorful plants, healthy fats, proper hydration, and gentle digestion—we’re giving the lymphatic system the environment it needs to move efficiently and do its job.

Giving up coffee is part of this experiment for me. While it can feel energizing in the short term, caffeine can be dehydrating and stimulating to an already inflamed nervous system. For now, I’m choosing nourishment over stimulation and tuning into how my body responds.

This is a reminder that lymphatic health is foundational health. When inflammation is reduced, everything flows better—energy, immunity, recovery, and overall vitality.

I’ll be sharing what I learn along the way during my "Revitalize Reset" with health coach Jen Nomi, . If you’re on a similar path, know that small, intentional changes can make a powerful difference. 💚

Any matcha/green tea lovers out there, I welcome any tips, because I'm allowed this. 🙏

P.S. Cat doesn't care.🐈‍⬛

🌟 Last evening, at the sound bath by Katie Miller Leadbetter, we celebrated a cherished Yuletide ceremony to honor the Winter Solstice—the moment when light begins to return to our lives. This season reminds us of hope, renewal, and the warmth of community. With ethereal sounds and spicy tea, we gathered to reflect, share, and embrace the positive energy that the coming light brings.

What a wonderful time of year. Thanks to those who filled the room with cheer!
