3 mistakes I made when I tried to heal my gut issues (so you don’t have to):
1️⃣ lack of guidance
I had no idea what to actually do because I wasn’t testing. I was trying supplements, cutting foods, and following whatever was trending at the time (cough cough going vegan 🙃). I thought if I copied what others were doing, it would fix my gut but i was wrong. without understanding what was really going on in my body, nothing changed. testing made all the difference.
2️⃣ being waaaayyy too restrictive
I went into “elimination mode” thinking less food = less symptoms. what ended up happening? I stressed my body out even more. lovely 🥴 I didn’t understand HOW to fuel myself, balance meals, or eat in a way that helped eliminate my imbalances/digestive issues. healing happened when I learned how to nourish my body (not punish it).
3️⃣ zero focus on nervous system regulation
I didn’t realize how much being constantly stressed/rushed/dysregulated was affecting my digestion. bestie, you can take all the supplements in the world, but if your body is stuck in fight or flight, your. gut. won’t. heal. learning to slow down, breathe, and support my nervous system was the last piece of the puzzle that made everything finally click 🤏🏽🤏🏽
