So much of what we do at Harrell Funeral Home begins with listening.
As a Family Care Coordinator, Kylie often meets families in some of the most tender and uncertain moments of their lives. She listens as they talk about the person they love, the little details that made them unique, and the memories they never want to lose.
Some of her greatest joys come from taking those stories and helping shape them into heartfelt tributes that feel like a true reflection of the life being honored. She is grateful for the trust families place in her and for the chance to walk beside them as they ask questions, share memories, and find their way through unfamiliar steps.
In recent years, Kylie has also represented Harrell at local trunk-or-treat events, driving the funeral coach and handing out candy to children and teens. What might seem unusual at first has become a gentle place for conversation.
Children peek inside the coach with wide eyes. Teens ask thoughtful questions. Parents quietly share their own experiences with loss. In those small, simple moments, something beautiful happens. The fear surrounding funeral homes softens, and understanding begins to grow.
Kylie is thankful for each opportunity to help families feel more at ease, to answer questions before a time of need, and to remind our community that talking about death can also be a way of honoring life.
