We recently honored Dylan at a meaningful ceremony led by Funeral Director Paul Williamson. At Dylan’s service, story after story poured out. Friends, family, and fellow service members spoke about his kindness, his strength, and the way he had left his print on so many lives.

To honor that impact in a tangible way, our funeral director, Paul Williamson, invited each person in attendance to come forward and place their fingerprint on Dylan’s casket before he was laid to rest

One by one, they stepped forward. Parents. Siblings. Friends. Brothers and sisters in uniform. Some came with tears, some with a gentle smile, all with love. As each person pressed their fingertip to the casket, it slowly filled with marks of remembrance.

Slowly, it became covered in small, imperfect prints, a tender, human picture of all the hearts he had touched. Grief, love, and gratitude all seemed to meet in that single moment. For our team, it was a powerful reminder that behind every uniform is a son or daughter, a friend, a partner, a whole world to someone.
