Real talk: I’ve had a low-grade migraine for almost 2-weeks now…
And the last few days it has ramped up and I’ve had a massively challenging showing up for normal, everyday tasks.
I caught myself starting to say unkind things to myself about my capacity (sound familiar? 🙃)…and very quickly stepped into the role of being my own best friend and pep talked my way into remembering that I’m human, being human is beautiful, it’s ok that I can’t constantly produce and create and show up the same every single day, and I love my humanness…
If you need a moment to remember that it’s ok to have moments that aren’t the way we are taught we are “supposed” to be on a “work day”, maybe this message can help you out in some way as well. Our humanness can’t be scheduled. And that doesn’t mean we can’t feel it fully when it arises.
Please don’t kick yourself when you’re already down…shifting into a kinder, more loving headspace may actually be what you need to move through a challenge with more ease and grace.
