🌱Important Update and a New Chapter for The Cook's Nook🌱

Thank you for your ongoing support. The Cook's Nook will be transitioning away from daily production operations as we move into our next chapter.

Looking back, we are proud of what we’ve accomplished together:
✨ Nearly 3 million meals delivered in support of wellness, maternal & renal health, diabetes care, and heart health.
✨ Incubating dozens of food & wellness companies still thriving today.
✨ Supporting 70+ nonprofits and awarding $40K to emerging food justice organizations.
✨ Helping shape the region’s first Austin-Travis County Food Plan.
✨ Elevating the national conversation on Food as Medicine through thought leadership, events, and recognition.

While our production work is ending, our mission remains unchanged. As Cygnus Advisory Group, we’ll continue advancing Food as Medicine—this time as strategic advisors and consultants—designing impactful programs, reaching communities with chronic conditions, and ensuring culturally relevant nutrition is recognized as essential to health. Visit our new website to learn more and stay connected at: cygnusadvisorygroup.com

At our core, we believe: those with the least deserve the most. Everyone should have access to nutrition that is both meaningful and health-supportive.

💚 Thank you to our staff, partners, and community for walking this journey with us.

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day! 🌸

Motherhood is a journey of strength, care, and constant giving. This Mother’s day, The Cook’s Nook is proud to emphasize our ongoing support to Ascension Seton Foundation’s Food is the Best Medicine (FBM) program, which is dedicated to reducing food insecurity and ensuring equitable access to nutrient-rich food for parents and their newborns through strong community partnerships.

We are honored to stand alongside Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin, Farmshare Austin and the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living at the UTHealth School of Public Health in Austin, in this important initiative. Because when we care for moms, we care for families—and build stronger, healthier communities.

🌿 May is Mental Health Awareness Month 🌿

Let’s take this time to break the stigma, check in on one another, and prioritize our well-being—mentally and emotionally. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it’s okay to ask for help.

🧠 Whether it’s therapy, a support group, or simply talking to a friend—every step matters.
💬 Start the conversation.
💚 Be kind to your mind.

🌟 A special partnership in action! 🌟

At The Cook's Nook, we’re proud to recommend Siete Family Foods’ generous support of El Buen Samaritano through a grant funded by the proceeds of their Food and Wellness Summit. This collaboration aligns with our shared mission to increase nutrition access and promote healthy, sustainable living across communities. 🌱

As part of this effort, Siete Foods has provided 500 General Wellness meals for students and families involved in El Buen camp activities during Spring Break (March 17-25, 2025). Together, we are creating lasting impact, supporting both health and community well-being. 💪🍽️
