Today, we recognize and stand alongside those impacted by hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. 🩸💙

Hemophilia is a rare genetic condition that affects the body’s ability to clot blood properly, meaning even small injuries can lead to prolonged bleeding. It’s estimated that more than 400,000 people worldwide are living with hemophilia, yet many still lack access to proper diagnosis and care.

Safe, accessible blood products play a critical role in treatment, helping individuals manage bleeds and live fuller, healthier lives.

Every step toward awareness and access to care brings us closer to a future where everyone receives the support they deserve!

After months of joint planning, full-scale training exercises, and with a shared commitment to being ready before a crisis ever occurs, We Are Blood and ATCEMS have reached a new milestone. Together, we've launched a Mass Casualty Incident Whole Blood Deployment Plan, an initiative that ensures whole blood can be rapidly deployed to the scene of a large-scale emergency, often within minutes of first patient contact.

This plan depends on a stable, community-supported blood supply, because whole blood can only be deployed if it's available. Help ensure Central Texans can receive the care they need if/when multiple lives are on the line and time matters most. Show up, roll up a sleeve, and give.
