Bridge To Shore Interventions & Sober Services

Bridge To Shore Interventions & Sober Services Jay Schneider is an interventionist for substance abuse and mental health disorders. Most importantly, I want you to know that you are not alone.

He helps families heal when the family system has been negatively impacted by addiction and mental health. Loneliness, fear, and desperation accompany the disease of addiction; and I know it’s taken a lot to get you here. Addiction is very real, and so is the effect it has on the family that surrounds it. The same goes for mental health disorders; and very often, the two go hand-in-hand. But as all-consuming as it may feel right now, please do not lose hope. In my 30+ years of both personal and professional experience, I have seen real-life miracles happen before my eyes, sometimes well after all hope has seemingly been lost. I have seen people who once ran from life transform into vibrant adults who now run toward living each day with the awareness that life is a precious gift. Driven by a deep heartfelt passion to help families in their desperate time of need, I hope I can provide you with the resources you need to guide you and your family to a life of recovery.

Realizing that my loved one's addiction problem was going to require in-patient recovery was a very challenging time for me. I had so many questions about how to convince them to go, how to get them there and what happens during treatment and beyond. I was referred to Jay Schneider at Bridge To Shore Interventions to help me through the process. Jay is extremely knowledgeable about addiction and recovery. He used these skills to work with me, to craft a successful intervention and to travel with my loved one to treatment. Throughout the process, Jay was very patient with my many questions, boosted my confidence and stayed in constant contact during the planning, ex*****on and treatment phases. He is reliable, professional and responsive. Without utilizing Jay's talents and assistance, I do not believe my loved one would be living a sober life today.

Jay is a gifted, experienced, resourceful, engaged, empathetic and committed interventionist who went above the call to help our son and our family. He has been a reliable, consistent, steady guide and advisor to my wife and I as we grappled with our son’s addiction and issues. Jay led us pre and post intervention. He brought our son to the first rehab center and later, picked him off the streets and flew with him the next day to the second center in Colorado. Jay is calm under pressure and steady when the waters get rough. He is also firm and strong when the heat rises. He is guided by his own deep recovery work and experience, as well as his “spiritual” connection and guidance. I highly recommend Jay to any family and family member who is facing the turmoil, heartache, challenges and disruption of addiction.

Without reservation, I recommend Bridge to Shore . I know we could never have gotten through our crisis without his expert attention to detail, his conviction that all will be better, and frankly his firm but thoughtful hand.

I was so skeptical that the intervention would work given our long history of failed efforts, and the moment Jay appeared at our home and we walked through how the intervention would proceed and how to manage all our expectations while somehow coercing our daughter to take an enormous leap into treatment and sobriety….honestly I continue to be amazed that Jay shepherded us to a bright and shiny future.

SEEING THROUGH THE ILLUSION
It is tempting to believe that addiction is not as bad or as fatal as it can potentially be. However, the very nature of addiction is a roller coaster of emotion where the one struggling with substances can paint an illusion of well-being for short periods of time.
This creates a vicious cycle for the family, alternating between hope and despair. Just when everyone believes things are getting better, addiction and mental health take the reins to once again build distrust, and shatter the hope that everything would soon be okay.
Choosing to lean into hope each time can bring momentary comfort, but without a different course of action, the ugly cycle is destined to continue.
