Attention, Junior Fellows! 📢

Do you want to get more involved in ACOG as a District XI leader? District XI Junior Fellows are encouraged to nominate themselves for the 2026 Junior Fellow Officer elections! We’re searching for candidates to fill the District Vice Chair and Secretary-Treasurer positions.

To apply, submit the following materials to jfelect@acog.org in a one-page Microsoft Word document by Monday, June 1:

✅ Letter of intent stating the office you are seeking, the District you reside in, and how you would support your District’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity
✅ Summary statement of your CV
✅ Signed copy of ACOG’s policy on public statements by ACOG officers and candidates (available on the website)

Districts VII & XI are now accepting abstracts and Stump the Professor cases for the Annual District Meeting that will be held on Oct. 16-18 in Austin, Texas! The deadline is 12:00 p.m. on June 1.

We'd like to give a big shout out to the outgoing District XI Medical Student Representative, Leslie Omeire!

We're so grateful for her leadership and service this last year. She has been an intentional leader, ensuring the needs of the medical students are heard when planning District activities.

Leslie is a fourth-year MD/MPH student at the University of Texas Health San Antonio's Long School of Medicine. We can’t wait to see how her career progresses in the ob-gyn profession!

District XI is accepting applications for the Creighton L. Edwards, MD, Award in Compassionate Care. This special award recognizes one second- or third-year postgraduate Texas ob-gyn resident in training who has an outstanding ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect for patients while providing superior medical care.

The deadline to apply is January 15. Award details, eligibility, and application instructions can be found on the award page.
