Children are naturally drawn to play, which makes it an especially effective approach within ABA sessions. When learning is embedded naturally into play-based activities, children are more motivated and are more likely to experience skill-building as fun and meaningful rather than challenging or overwhelming. This increased engagement helps children feel calmer and more confident, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.

Cold Weather Ahead in Central Texas! ❄️

Even mild drops in temperature can feel like a big change for children with autism. Here at Spark we help families navigate seasonal transitions that can affect routines, sensory comfort, and daily activities.

Cold weekends often mean:
• Resistance to jackets, socks, or layers
• Less outdoor playtime than expected
• Difficulty with changes in routines
• Heightened anxiety due to unpredictable weather

Understanding these challenges helps families plan supports that meet children where they are.
