🌿 Encouragement vs. Praise: A Self-Esteem Building Guide

Children grow their strongest roots of confidence when their effort is seen and valued—not just the end result. Praise (“Great job!”) feels good in the moment, but encouragement (“You kept trying, even when it was tricky!”) plants the seeds of resilience, motivation, and true self-worth.

This guide was created for parents, caregivers, and professionals who want to shift everyday language in ways that make a lasting difference. Inside you’ll find:
✔️ Research-based insights on encouragement vs. praise
✔️ Simple rules of thumb for building authentic self-esteem
✔️ A bank of encouraging phrases you can start using right away
✔️ Real-life practice scenarios for home, school, or clinical settings

💡 Ways this helps connection: You’ll feel confident using language that empowers children, celebrates growth, and strengthens trust in your relationship.
