MAP’s mission is to leverage our extensive lived experience in behavioral health and substance misuse to improve personal connection, community health, and healthcare outcomes. This week marks Mental Illness Awareness Week, a week of observance put together by NAMI to provide insight on what it’s like to live with challenges such as anxiety, depression, or BPD.

This year, NAMI features the new campaign “Together for Mental Health” that offers the experience of those with serious mental illness while stressing the importance of mental health care and improved crisis response.
