The collective changes in climate, demographics, and economics will result in inevitable and substantial negative impacts on environmental systems, food security, equity, and quality of life if left unmitigated.

Evidenced by research and work in Oklahoma City, San Antonio, and North Texas, which emphasize ecosystem restoration and urban agriculture strategies such as public agriculture (food forests, community gardens, edible landscaping), urban agriculture (soil-based and hydroponics), and school agriculture programs – we will explore how a more resilient society is critical for climate action success. We will also introduce our team's work on the Dallas Urban Agriculture and Food Security Plan.

Our panel will discuss how landscape architects, planners and designers, can partner with allied professions, developers, and municipalities to create resilient communities and landscapes to, not only survive these changes, but to thrive in these conditions through urban agriculture master planning techniques.

Join us on November 10th to hear our panel speak about building businesses and growing enterprises to create intergenerational wealth.
