There’s something about standing on a ship, feeling the ocean air, and realizing that for once, you don’t need to rush anywhere.

Your shoulders drop. Your mind slows down. You start sleeping better, laughing more, and remembering what it feels like to just exist without a to do list. Cruises have a funny way of resetting you in the best possible way.

This month, the South Central Chapter Meeting convened in Austin, where we embarked on a boat tour in hopes of witnessing the bats in flight. The evening provided an opportunity to connect with new and established colleagues in the funeral industry, making for a thoroughly enjoyable night. I extend my gratitude to everyone who sang happy birthday to me. 🫶🏽🥰🤩🎉
