We love seeing the progress our patients get as they come in throughout the year! Our patient today had 2250 grafts transplanted to the frontal scalp to help restore his hair line. We used manual FUE since his hair is a bit wavy to curly. Sites were made using a 1.2 mm Sapphire blade. Photos are shown pre-op, 3 weeks, 6 months and 1 year post op! Our patient is very happy with his results, so much so that he has decided to keep his hair short!

There’s a great alternative to PRP injections and its painless! Keralase uses a laser to create microscopic channels in your scalp that allows growth factors to be absorbed at 5 to 7 times more concentration than without it. Did I mention that its painless?! Check out the video below!

What is my donor area going to look like post transplant? Well, that depends on a lot of factors. But for the most part it should look almost like we were never there.

The donor area can be washed more aggressively than the recipient area so the scabs should be gone with in the first 7 to 8 days for sure.

Other factors that come into play are your donor density, number of harvest attempts and hair color can all affect what the back of your scalp looks like post hair transplant.

But in a few weeks it all heals and eventually your hair grows back over the area and no one should be able to tell you had hair harvested from the back of your scalp.

1600 grafts harvested by FUT (aka Strip procedure) today here in the office! Our grafts are sitting on our electric graft cooler that allows us to maintain a constant temperature to keep the grafts cool and decrease their metabolic demand while outside the body. In the end this helps them survive better and will make a world of difference for our patient today!

Our 2nd of 4 hair tranaplants this week! Our patient today is having the first stage of his planned two stage restoration of his hair starting with his front hair line with 2754 grafts harvested manually. We are looking forward to seeing his results in the coming months!

Follicle Friday y’all!! Our patient today is 8 months out from 1816 grafts using the ARTAS iX to help restore his hairline.

We are thrilled with his results in only 8 months and he still has another 4 months of density to come!
