Every April, APHA brings communities nationwide together to celebrate National Public Health Week — a time to honor the contributions of public health and shine a light on the issues shaping the health of our nation.

As the organizer for more than 30 years, APHA creates each year’s theme and develops toolkits, resources, events and educational materials to help the public, policymakers and health professionals take action. These resources extend beyond the week itself, supporting public health engagement year-round.

Crew Wellness is Celebrating National Public Health this week!

Ready. Set. Action! is this year’s theme. As we celebrate, take a moment to recognize how public health has improved our daily lives, safeguarded our families, expanded our life spans, and strengthened our communities.

This week is also a chance to honor the public health workers who show up for us every day — and to advocate for policies and practices that promote good health for all.

Join in on the celebration as we highlight various aspects of public health this week!

The C.H.W Crew

This platform was created to serve as a space for Community Health Workers (CHWs) to be inspired on a social level. There was not a platform for CHWs to be highlighted and given the stage to showcase the amazing things they are doing from state to state and around the globe. I created this with all CHWs in mind working hard in their community from city to rural to island. As we grow as a community, I hope you get inspired to take action in your community. We need one another, we are a CREW that needs teaching, motivation and inspiration to continue to do the work. So when you take pictures serving share with us and tag us #thechwcrew so everyone can see the great work YOU are doing! Join our private Facebook group to share your stories with other CHWs. I personally thank you for your service to serve others in this work.
