Sheila Barbarino, MD, FAAO, FAACS, F.A.C.S., a board certified surgeon who is fellowship trained in oculo-facial plastics/cosmetic plastic surgery, specializing in cosmetic surgery and a full face specialist. Dr. Barbarino is a fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. She is a master injector, who teaches and trains other surgeons, physicians & providers how to inject & teaches, lectures and operates all over the world. Dr. Barbarino brings her expertise to the practice of cosmetic, corrective and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, face and body. She applies her ophthalmic plastic surgical skills to rejuvenate the eyelid and forehead complex and to repair a myriad of eye problems including tear trough deformities, eye socket defects and skin cancer to restore both the natural shape and health to the eye. Dr. Barbarino understands how particular we are about perceived imperfections–whether we think we have cellulite, jowls, turkey necks or excess skin on our eyelids. She empathizes with her patients’ desire to look well-rested, youthful and fit and to achieve what cannot be accomplished at the gym or through a good, healthy lifestyle. Dr. Barbarino comes with expert experience in comprehensive treatments for all skin types, including dark skin. In addition, Dr. Barbarino’s extensive expertise includes the artistic use of non-surgical modalities such as Botox®, Sculptra®, Juvederm®, Radiesse® and Restylane® help patients achieve pleasing, natural looking facial rejuvenation. Her goal as a woman and as a surgeon is to help a patient become more comfortable and confident with their body and in particular with their face. She literally helps her patients put their best face forward. Patients want to look the best they can for their age—not artificial and fake. Dr. Barbarino, a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, has completed two fellowships, one in oculoplastic surgery and a second in full face and body aesthetic plastic surgery.

Did you know every product of undergoes rigorous clinical trials not only to prove its efficacy but also how the product is still effective in different environments—extreme warm climates or cold, in the sun, if you forgot & left the cap off or lose 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ or accidentally left in your car overnight (we don’t recommend any of this but truth is we’re not perfect)..it’s okay it’s still going to work great! You can feel good knowing each drop of your skincare was tested by their huge laboratory research team lead by head scientist, Steve🙌🙌, to do exactly what it claims to do and to have the exact same consistency from the first drop to the very last. All of the patients at our brand new, luxury facility will be treated to first class services and expertise, in an environment that feels like a luxury spa. Our 3,700 square foot facility is Medicare and AAAHC certified and has state-of-the art equipment and two fully licensed operating rooms. Located in Hermosa Beach, the practice has a modern but warm feel that will help patients feel relaxed and pampered.

Barbarino Surgical Arts, Inc. at the South Bay Cosmetic Surgery facility features bright, sunlit consultation rooms, Lumenis laser treatments for hair removal and IPL treatments, two full operating rooms and a recovery suite. A full range of services is provided from fillers to cosmetic surgery. All care is professionally conducted by our top-notch board certified surgeons and qualified staff. In addition, Dr. Barbarino is a master injector, who teaches and trains other surgeons, physicians & providers how to inject. She teaches, lectures and operates all over the world.

Our surgeons provide the best advice and help our patients find the most effective treatments based on each patient’s individual needs. We pride ourselves on listening to the patient, understanding their needs and providing natural looking results. We believe that the training and experience of our surgeons provides a much higher level of quality, safety and results than many facilities that offer basic injectables without medical doctors that are specifically trained for cosmetic practice. We believe cosmetic procedures are an art that can only be perfected through rigorous education and ongoing training and certification.
