Here’s the truth you don’t want to hear:

If you’re not treating the orbicularis oculi, you’re under-treating the upper face.

That muscle is powerful. It pulls laterally and inferiorly, influences brow position, and can quietly overpower everything else in your upper face.

You can ask for a smooth glabella all day long —if you want a lateral brow raise with your Botox treatment, you must treat the orbicularis oculi muscle.

If your orbicularis oculi muscle (the muscle that closes the eye) remains in full effect, the lateral lift you are looking for will never happen.

Neuromodulators are not about erasing static lines (the lines that are present on your face when you’re not making any expression); they soften dynamic movement (the lines you see when you make expressions). Neuromodulating is about relaxing the depressor muscles, supporting the elevator muscles, and creating balance within your muscular system.

And yes, unfortunately, that usually requires more units than you would think you need.

Your provider needs to be strategic with your injections and know their anatomy, all while being precise and Intentional.

Is this viral lymphatic drainage brush actually worth the hype… or just another pretty tool? 👀

Your face has its own lymphatic network designed to move excess fluid, decrease puffiness, and clear cellular waste. But here’s what most people don’t realize: it doesn’t have a pump. It depends on movement, breathing, and proper manual stimulation to work.

When done correctly, lymphatic drainage can:
✨ Reduce under-eye puffiness
✨ Brighten skin
✨ Subtly enhance contour
✨ Support healing after procedures

Done right = depuffing, glow, subtle contour.
Done wrong = irritated tissue and zero results.

So… viral miracle or just marketing? Either way, lymphatic drainage is extremely important.
Let’s talk about it. Put your comments below!

Thanks for fueling my beauty experiments ❤️🙌

Stop ✋ wait a minute… because ALASTIN was the true show stopper at AMWC North America ✨

When it comes to innovation, science backed results, and skincare that actually elevates outcomes, Alastin did not come to play. The educational discourse was exciting, the conversations were inspiring, and the energy was everything 🙌💜💜💜

Grateful to be part of a community that keeps pushing aesthetics forward and proud to partner with brands that consistently steal the spotlight. Already counting down to the next one ✨

Thread lifting remains one of the most polarizing procedures in aesthetic medicine — largely due to misinformation, undertrained providers, and mismanaged expectations.

Here’s the truth: Fillers and thread lifting do not do the same thing; one does not replace the other.

Fillers replace volume. Fillers placed in the correct anatomical position should never look heavy or make you look fat.

Threads reposition and lift tissue all while stimulating collagen and elastin where they are placed so the threads lift you up and the collagen and elastin that’s stimulated will help with texture, tone, and skin laxity. You also must keep in mind that all fillers aren’t created equal and all threads aren’t created equal. Some types and brands are far superior to others.

In general: Much of the controversy surrounding threads stems from improper patient selection and technique — not the modality itself.

Hear my thoughts on threads and why they are misunderstood. Don’t knock them until you try them they might just be the subtle lift that you’ve been looking for.
