Eye-opening day at the Texas Health and Human Services board meeting supporting La’Nika G.’s petition for fair compensation and supervision fee reform for LPC Associates. The system feels outdated, with clear bias—leniency for some, strict cutoffs for others. Board dismissiveness and joking about “heartburn” showed a lack of seriousness. The medical model mindset overshadows our unique counseling approach. Despite rejection, LPC Associates must keep speaking out for change. Grateful for La’Nika’s leadership!

🌟 Helping kids with aggressive behaviors through Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT)! 🌈 CCPT creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where children can express emotions, process challenges, and build self-regulation skills through play. By meeting kids where they are, therapists foster trust and empower them to navigate big feelings. 💪 Research shows CCPT can reduce aggression and improve emotional expression in children (Lin & Bratton, 2015).
