Ever wonder what actually happens during a Nouvaderm laser treatment? Dr. Ling breaks it all down in real time.

She starts with the Nouvaderm laser, then applies an epidermal growth factor mask to kick-start skin repair, and wraps up with ContourLight therapy to support healing. The result is a layered, thoughtful approach that goes well beyond the laser itself.

This is the kind of care you can expect every time you come to Dr. Ling's house of beauty.

Most patients don’t need more treatments — they need a better plan.

The consultation process is one of the most important parts of my practice.

I personally perform all initial cosmetic consultations and design individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s concerns, skin health, medical history, lifestyle, and goals.

My approach is methodical and evidence-based. Not every treatment is appropriate, and not everything needs to be done at once. Some treatments provide more immediate improvement, while others are designed to build gradually over time.

A large part of what I do is education. We discuss how the face and skin change over time — including collagen loss, skin quality, fat pad volume, and structural changes — so you understand not only what is changing, but why.

From there, we determine a plan that is thoughtful, appropriate, and aligned with your long-term goals.

In my practice, most patients are looking for subtle, natural refinement — not dramatic change.

This often includes a combination of treatments that support skin quality, collagen, and facial structure.

Treatment plans are always tailored to the individual.

Consultations allow us to determine what approach makes sense for you.

Aesthetic treatments should be thoughtful, not reactive.

Every recommendation I make is based on anatomy, skin quality, and long-term outcomes — not trends.

My goal is always to create results that feel natural, balanced, and appropriate for each patient.

Consultations allow us to determine the best approach for you.

We've been getting a lot of questions about the Nouvaderm laser, so here's the honest breakdown from Dr. Ling herself.

This isn't a one-size-fits-all treatment. It's one of the few lasers we trust for melasma, and it's safe for all skin tones, including deeper complexions that other lasers can't touch. We're also seeing really encouraging results for scalp and hair health, which a lot of people don't expect.

If you've been curious whether this is right for you, come talk to us. That's what consultations are for.

Laser resurfacing can be an excellent option for improving skin quality, texture, and signs of sun damage.
But like many aesthetic treatments, candidacy depends on several factors.

Skin type, sun exposure, current skin condition, and overall treatment goals all play a role in determining whether laser resurfacing is appropriate.

In some cases, patients may benefit from other treatments first, while others may simply need to wait for the right season.

Book your consultation with Dr. Ling to evaluate these factors and determine the most appropriate approach for your skin.

After the past few posts about collagen and skin quality, many patients have been asking about laser treatments.

One of the most important factors with lasers is timing.

Because many resurfacing treatments increase the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, they are typically performed when sun exposure can be more carefully managed. In Texas, that window is often fall through early spring.

As we move closer to summer, treatment timing becomes more limited.

If laser resurfacing has been on your mind, this is a good time to come in and discuss options.

Consultations are required to determine candidacy and treatment planning.

After the past few posts about collagen loss, many patients asked what treatments actually help support collagen.

Different technologies work in different ways — from laser resurfacing to radiofrequency treatments like Agnes RF — but the goal is the same: supporting the skin’s structure so improvements appear gradual and natural.

A consultation allows us to evaluate skin quality, anatomy, and long-term goals before recommending any treatment.

Collagen plays an important role in maintaining the skin’s structure, thickness, and elasticity.

While deeper wrinkles often get the most attention, the earliest signs of collagen decline are usually more subtle.

In consultations, I often notice changes such as softening along the jawline, shifts in skin texture, or fine lines that linger a bit longer than they once did.

These changes are a normal part of the skin’s natural aging process, but they can also be a helpful signal that it may be time to consider treatments that support collagen production.

Consultations allow us to evaluate your skin and determine what approach makes sense based on your anatomy and goals.

One of the most interesting parts of aesthetic consultations is seeing how often patients misunderstand what actually causes visible aging.

Wrinkles are only one piece of the picture.

Changes in collagen, skin quality, and facial structure all influence how the face evolves over time — which is why thoughtful treatment planning often involves more than a single approach.

In many cases, supporting collagen and improving skin quality can have just as much impact as addressing lines directly.

Consultations allow us to evaluate anatomy, skin condition, and long-term goals before recommending any treatment.
