Hi, I am Julie, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and I recently opened Relax & Renew Massage Therapy, which is located in Elevate Chiropractic in Ava. I was raised in Thornfield, where I went to school through 8th grade, attended high school in Gainesville, and then received my Associate of Science from Drury University.
After years of working at Mercy Hospital, I knew I loved helping people but also knew I didn’t want to be a nurse. I was then introduced to the massage world, and that was all it took. I had found my path.
I attended Wellspring School of Allied Health in Springfield, MO and received my massage license. After graduating, I began working at Cedar Creek Spa at Big Cedar Lodge as a massage therapist. I worked there for almost 4 years, learned so much, and really enjoyed everyone there. In October, while still working at Big Cedar, is when I started Relax & Renew but was only open two days a week because I was still working at Big Cedar. Having my own business is really what my heart is led to do, so beginning January 5th, I will be open in Ava Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm. I look forward to helping people through massage in the Ava area, so please call or text (417) 683-8129 to schedule your appointment and get your new year started off in a good way with some self care. We all need some R&R.

✨WE SURVIVED✨
And I feel ready to take in the holidays!
FRIDAY:
- Started at Burn Boot Camp, leg day + lots of lunges
- 1/2 day serving at the office
- Christmas card photos at sunset
- Home Alone 1 + 2 to get me to bedtime
SATURDAY:
(The hardest day)
- Did a 4.5 mile hike at Two Rivers with my Mom, hubby and Hank. Rolled my ankle in the process 😅
- Came home and put my ankle on ice
- Headache started to kick in around 2pm but I rallied for the Oklahoma game
- Took an Epsom salt bath with red light
- Iced my face to try to get through the Mizzou game but did not make it🤪
SUNDAY:
- Woke up excited to eat!
- Thawed some home grown stew meat
- We had beef stew to ease our way back into food✨
