SIT Service Dogs

SIT Service Dogs Support and Independence through Teamwork Recipients often report a greater sense of control, confidence, and independence after being partnered with a dog.

Sit (Support & Independence through Teamwork) trains and places service dogs with people who have physical disabilities. We work from an all encompassing paradigm; a service dog needs to assist their human partner not only through performing daily tasks such as turning on lights, opening doors, or retrieving dropped objects, but needs to provide a level of comfort and social support to their people. Our dogs are trained assist with the daily chores that most mobility dogs perform as well as recognize/respond to withdrawn behaviors, anxiety, and episodic depression. This means more trips to the movies, out to dinner, shopping, and new adventures!

Meet Tigger 🐯 and Woozle 👀
Tigger went bouncing through the Hundred Acre Wood looking for adventure… and it looks like he finally found what Piglet was talking about all along — a Woozle!
These two are the final members of our Hundred Acre Wood litter of future service dogs.
Small paws today, but one day they’ll grow into incredible partners helping people live more independent lives. ❤️🐾
