My voice and my feet have recovered but my heart is still spilling over with gratitude. Friday arrived and I was surrounded with love and encouragement as we celebrated the unveiling of our beautiful building! Because of all of you, this vision became a reality! Many hands played a part in Fridays celebration and I’d be lost without them!

Thank you Avoca Main Street, Inc. for welcoming me back to town with open arms and all the support a small business could ask for!

Thank you Western Iowa Development Association for all the online recognition for our event and all the support you give to small businesses like mine!

Thank you to my mother Lori, mother in law Linda, and my dearest friend Trudy!! You three arrived on Friday and it was as if 3 fairy godmothers waved their wands and prepared the day for guests! I had zero stress for the day and it’s all because of you ladies!

Angel Poole! You came onto this project half started with me at my wits end and behind schedule. You practically lived in our zip code just to get us to the finish line and for that I am forever grateful! If anyone needs a reliable painter, Angel is your person! Not all hero’s wear capes. Sometimes they carry paint brushes.

To my clients!! You all stuck with me through moving locations this past year! Because of you and your support, I get to do what I love!

Thank you to my bestie, the talented Claire Petersen Photography for the creative graphics for my social media and the beautiful photos you took of the day! You captured it beautifully!!!

Thank you to my best friend Sara who traveled an hour and spent the whole day with me and ran my front desk so I could I mingled with my guests!

And lastly, to my husband Nathan Pieken. This is all your fault lol. I’ll never forget the decision we Both made to Not buy a building….and then later that week submitting an offer.😆 I was nervous for such a big step, but your faith in the project never wavered. I had a vision and you ran with it! It was months of hard work and celebrating you for your efforts has been my favorite part. You deserve an award. A statue. A parade!

I am ready for this brand new chapter and grateful that I get to bring you all with me. Happy Thanksgiving week!

Tomorrow is the day🎀✂️! Even though it’s been foggy, cloudy, and a bit dreary, my heart is over here doing awesome air kicks because my first week in my brand new office is everything I dreamed it would be!

Hey friends! It’s been a minute! I have lots to catch you up on!

My 2️⃣ year anniversary is quickly approaching, and with that is coming some fun changes! The first being…drum roll please!!!🥁🥁🥁…

We bought a building! (YAY🎉) I know this big decision couldn’t have come without all of the support you all have shown me these last 2 years! We are excited to continue growing in downtown Avoca!

Secondly, while we are working to renovate the new space, I will be temporarily working from my home office beginning next week. If you have an appointment on the books with me, you will receive a text message with all the info in addition to your appointment reminder! I will do my best to keep you all posted on the progress of the new space, but as you know, construction can take on a timeline of its own. We pray it goes smoothly!

I am eager to continue to serve you the best that I can in the temporary work space. I may ask for patience as we navigate this. It could limit some of my working hours, but I will do my best to accommodate!

And lastly, I want thank all of you for your patience these last several weeks. I have been out of the office spending much needed time with my family. Your kind words and prayers have been so appreciated. Bless you all.

I know that 2025 will be full of opportunities! Can’t wait to see what’s in store!
