Financial Counseling/Assistance:

Part of the navigation process is making sure our Patients are aware of their deductibles and copay's. When our Patients are experiencing financial difficulty we help them apply for financial assistance and 99% of the time their burden is lessened or relieved.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month — a time to recognize ability, resilience, and the power of inclusion.

In the United States:
• About 1 in 6 children has a developmental disability.
• Nearly 7.4 million people live with an intellectual or developmental disability.
• Most individuals with developmental disabilities live at home, supported by family caregivers.

Behind these numbers are real families navigating therapies, school meetings, medical appointments, daily routines, and long-term planning. Caregivers — parents, grandparents, siblings, and professionals — carry enormous responsibility, often quietly and consistently. Their advocacy shapes access. Their persistence opens doors. Their love builds possibility.

Inclusion matters in every space — in classrooms where learning adapts to the child, in workplaces where talent is given opportunity, in healthcare where accessibility and clear communication improve outcomes, and in communities where belonging is never conditional.

To caregivers, your strength and dedication do not go unnoticed; to advocates, your voice truly matters; and to every member of our community, inclusion begins with the everyday choices we make.

March is Women’s History Month — a time to recognize the women who shaped history, challenged barriers, and continue to transform our communities every single day.

In today’s world, women are leaders, innovators, professionals, caregivers, partners, and mothers — often balancing full-time careers while managing households and caring for loved ones. They are the steady presence behind the scenes and the driving force at the forefront.

The modern woman is expected to excel at work, nurture at home, support her family, lead with strength, and give endlessly — often all at once.

This month — and every month — we recognize the impact women make in families, workplaces, and communities everywhere.

March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month — a time to bring visibility to conditions that are often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, or invisible to others.

Bleeding disorders are conditions that affect the body’s ability to form blood clots properly. The most recognized is Hemophilia, but disorders such as Von Willebrand disease and rare platelet function disorders impact millions worldwide.

Here’s why awareness matters:

• An estimated 1 in 10 people may have Von Willebrand disease, yet many go undiagnosed.
• Women and girls are frequently underdiagnosed, especially when symptoms are dismissed as “just heavy periods.”
• Early diagnosis can prevent serious complications, including joint damage and life-threatening bleeding episodes.

Living with a bleeding disorder means planning ahead — for sports, dental visits, surgeries, even everyday bumps and falls. It requires education, advocacy, and often lifelong treatment. But it also means resilience. Community. Innovation in care. And families who become experts in strength.

If you or someone you love is living with a bleeding disorder — you are not alone. Awareness leads to earlier diagnosis, better treatment, and stronger support systems.

Rare Disease Day is observed every year on the last day of February to shine a light on the people and families living with conditions that are individually rare, but collectively impact hundreds of millions worldwide.

A rare disease is often defined as one that affects fewer than 1 in 2,000 people, but there are 6,000+ identified rare diseases, and many are still being discovered. Many are serious, chronic, and life-altering—yet they can be misunderstood, underdiagnosed, and underfunded.

Rare diseases don’t always look “rare” in everyday life: they can show up as years of unexplained symptoms, endless referrals, misdiagnoses, financial strain, missed school/work, and caregiver burnout. The rare disease journey can be lonely—not because people don’t care, but because people often don’t see it.

Rare Disease Day exists to change that: to replace “I’ve never heard of it” with awareness, empathy, faster diagnosis, better access to care, and stronger research.

Rare Disease Day 2025 carried the theme “More than you can imagine”—a reminder that rare disease reality is bigger than most people realize: more patients, more conditions, more complexity, and more strength than you might imagine at first glance.

If you’re living with a rare disease: you are not alone.
If you’re a caregiver: you are not invisible.
If you’re a supporter: thank you for showing up—because awareness leads to action.

February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month — highlighting an issue that affects more young people than many realize.

In the U.S., about 1 in 12 high school students report experiencing physical dating violence, and a similar number report sexual dating violence each year. Many more face emotional abuse or digital control — behaviors often dismissed as “normal drama.”

These early experiences can impact mental health, academic performance, and future relationships. That’s why it’s important for parents and caregivers to talk openly about respect, consent, and healthy boundaries. Teens who feel safe speaking to a trusted adult are more likely to seek help and avoid harmful situations.

February is Black History Month.

A time to honor the leaders, visionaries, and trailblazers whose courage and contributions helped shape the United States.

• Rosa Parks — Sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott by refusing to give up her bus seat, becoming a symbol of peaceful resistance.

• Harriet Tubman — Escaped slavery and led dozens of enslaved people to freedom through the Underground Railroad.

• Barack Obama — Became the first Black President of the United States, reshaping political history.

• Thurgood Marshall — First Black U.S. Supreme Court Justice and a key force behind ending school segregation.

Black history is American history. These stories reflect resilience, leadership, and progress that continue to influence our country today—and remind us why learning, honoring, and celebrating this history matters.

Today is World Cancer Day—a moment to stand with those affected by cancer, honor survivors, remember loved ones, and recognize the importance of prevention and early detection. Cancer touches millions of lives around the world, but knowledge, screening, and timely care continue to make a meaningful difference.

•Cancer causes nearly 10 million deaths worldwide each year
•1 in 5 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime
•Up to one-third of cancer cases are preventable through lifestyle choices and early intervention

Today reminds us that progress happens through awareness, research, compassion, and action—and that every step toward prevention and care matters.
