Specialty Pharmacy is more than just filling a prescription. It invol

ves specialized dispensing, patient care management, and financial counseling/assistance. At EFRx we call this our Patient Navigation Process. Specialized Dispensing:

Specialized Pharmacy dispensing involves a complex six sigma dispensing process to minimize errors. From contacting your Healthcare Provider to labeling and packaging your medication, EFRx has redundant processes to catch errors and make sure your medication arrives at the right temperature and with the appropriate supplies. Patient Care Management:

A large part of what separates specialty pharmacy from retail pharmacy is the outcomes that are monitored by the Pharmacist. At EFRx we track your outcomes, hospital visits, doctor visits, medication compliance, side effects, and reactions all so we can tailor the best therapy and recommendations specific for YOU. Financial Counseling/Assistance:

Part of the navigation process is making sure our Patients are aware of their deductibles and copay's. When our Patients are experiencing financial difficulty we help them apply for financial assistance and 99% of the time their burden is lessened or relieved.

Patient Experience Week is a time to recognize that healthcare is more than treatment—it’s about compassion, trust, and human connection.

From April 27 to May 1, 2026, we celebrate the importance of every patient’s journey and the people who help make that journey better. From pharmacists and nurses to physicians, caregivers, and support staff, every interaction matters.

A positive patient experience means feeling heard, respected, informed, and supported throughout every step of care. It builds confidence, improves outcomes, and reminds patients they are never facing their health journey alone.

Healthcare works best when empathy leads the way.

National Youth Violence Prevention Week reminds us that creating safer communities starts with supporting our youth. This week highlights the importance of prevention, education, and open conversations around bullying, mental health, peer pressure, and community safety.

Young people thrive when they feel seen, heard, and supported. Schools, families, healthcare providers, and communities all play a role in helping children and teens build confidence, healthy relationships, and safe environments where they can grow.

Prevention starts early:with listening, guidance, and access to the right resources. Small actions can make a lasting impact. Together, we can help create a future where every young person feels safe, valued, and empowered.

During National Infertility Awareness Week, we recognize the millions of individuals and couples navigating the emotional, physical, and financial challenges of building a family. In the U.S., 1 in 5 women experience infertility, and many require advanced therapies and ongoing care.

Treatment today looks different than it did even a decade ago. From hormone therapies to assisted reproductive technologies, care is becoming more personalized, more precise—and more hopeful.

But beyond the science, there’s a human story. The waiting. The uncertainty. The resilience it takes to keep going.

Every path to parenthood is different.
And every story deserves to be seen, supported, and respected.

This weekend, the HFA Symposium 2026 brings together patients, families, clinicians, and care partners with a shared goal—strengthening support for those living with bleeding disorders.

At its core, this gathering is about connection, education, and community. It’s a space to learn from one another, to better understand the realities behind each patient journey, and to continue shaping care that is more informed, coordinated, and compassionate.

Because advancing care starts with coming together.

April 17 marks World Hemophilia Day, a time to reflect on how far care for bleeding disorders has come, and where it’s going.

Hemophilia, once managed with limited and frequent infusions, now has a rapidly evolving treatment landscape. Today, patients have access to extended half-life factor therapies, non-factor options, and even gene therapy advancements, shifting care from reactive to proactive, and in some cases, significantly reducing bleeding episodes.

Globally, hemophilia affects over 400,000 individuals, yet outcomes today look very different than they did even a decade ago. With more therapeutic options available, care can now be personalized to each patient’s lifestyle, needs, and clinical profile.

Progress in hemophilia care is no longer just about managing symptoms — it’s about expanding possibilities, improving quality of life, and delivering care that adapts to the patient.

April is Stress Awareness Month- a reminder that in uncertain times, stress can quietly build in ways we don’t always notice.

Ongoing stress doesn’t just affect how we feel- it can impact sleep, focus, energy levels, and overall health. And while we can’t always control what’s happening around us, we can support how our bodies and minds respond to it.

Small, intentional actions can make a meaningful difference:

• Limit constant exposure to news and information overload
• Create simple daily structure, even if your schedule is unpredictable
• Prioritize movement: even a short walk can help regulate stress
• Stay connected: a quick check-in with someone can go a long way
• Give yourself permission to rest without guilt

Managing stress isn’t about eliminating it completely- it’s about building habits that help you move through it more steadily.

Taking care of your health includes taking care of your stress.

April is Diversity Month
Diversity is not just about who we see - it’s about how we care.

Every person’s experience is shaped by their culture, language, identity, and lived experiences. When those differences are acknowledged and respected, care becomes more than clinical, it becomes human.

Research shows that people who feel understood are more likely to follow guidance and actively engage in their care. At the same time, language barriers are linked to a higher risk of medical errors and lower quality of care, while many communities are still less likely to receive preventive services. These gaps are not just statistics, they are opportunities for us to do better.

Supporting diversity means listening without assumptions, communicating clearly, and respecting each individual, because inclusion is shown through actions, not just words.

National Public Health Week 2026🩺

A simple reminder this week: don’t ignore what your body is trying to tell you. If something feels off, even slightly, it’s worth checking out.

Take a moment to schedule a check-up you’ve been putting off. Stay up to date on recommended vaccinations. Choose to move your body, even if it’s just a short daily walk. Prioritize hand hygiene and simple prevention habits that reduce the spread of illness. Check in on someone in your life, because health includes mental and emotional well-being, too.

So many health conditions are easier to manage when caught early, and often, peace of mind is just as important as the result itself. Public health starts with awareness, but it continues with action- small steps that protect your health over time.

Listen to your body. Prioritize yourself. And don’t wait longer than you need to.
