Well… this was a little different being on the other side of the table but I kinda loved it 😅

Dr. Paige took such good care of me after my back started “talking” to me. Between motherhood & ramping up running and lifting… it was time for some TLC.

At BIM we see this all the time: hurt ≠ injured

Aches and tightness doesn’t necessarily mean something is wrong but they’re your body asking for attention ‼️ so take care of the hurt now before it turns into an injury.

If you feel like I’m always preaching “GO SLOWER”… you’re not wrong 😅 but I promise I also do speed work!!

If you want to spice up your runs, try this workout ⬇️

4 mi easy
8 x 200m @ ~1 mile effort (RPE 9)
90 sec walking rest between
1 mi cool down

You can always start with fewer than 8 reps…but it should feel fast and very challenging‼️

Pro tips:
- I’d wear shorts next time 🥵
- I took a gel ~20 min into my warm-up and still felt a little depleted so after the first working set I took another and felt WAY better after that 🙌🏼😋 a reminder how much fueling matters…you can’t expect speed without enough energy/calories!
- Truly go super slow and keep it EZ for the warm up so you have enough gas in the tank to push those 200 meter sprints 💨
- I use an antibacterial face spray for after my sweaty workouts especially if I’m running and errand and not going straight to the shower 🚿
