When we talk about customized medicine, this is what we mean. We select herbs based off of your pattern, your constitution, and your symptoms. Anti-inflammatory herbs + herbs that guide the medicine to your area of pain + herbs that have a diuretic effect to help that stagnation leave your body. It's a whole system.

Then we cook those herbs for you, letting them simmer for an hour, the we mix it with high-proof and let it sit for months to tincture, then we strain, bottle, and store.

When it comes time to prescribe, we mix classic herbal formulas together into a tincture made for you. And if you're really lucky, we put that tincture over our Melly PEMF pad and imprint the healing frequencies that you need into your tincture.

Let's be real, it's hard to get better. It takes work and commitment and responsibility and all of the things we just *don't want to do* right now (insert tantrum feet).

On the other hand it easy to take a pill, a shot, a patch. It's easy to cover up the problem with what looks like a solution, but is actually just a band-aid. I know it's a band-aid, you know it's a band-aid... and honestly sometimes we need a bad-aid to stop the bleeding.

But when the bleeding stops, when the pain settles, when you experience that ounce of hope and motivation that you can do this, you can make a real change, that's when you pick up the phone and call us. That's when you come in and talk about it all.

That's when we make a plan.

And *that's* the first step is *getting better*.

I love how creating a safe space allows safe conversations to be had. We're more than a 7-minute insurance mandated visit; we're here to be a sounding board, to give and receive advice, to be open-minded.

We're passionate about our patients, their health, our community, and how we should question everything.

Stay curious. There aren't right answers to most of these conversations (besides the book club one), but that's what a safe space and safe relationships allow for. Real conversations, real healing.
