On behalf of the , we want to sincerely thank all of you, our sponsors and supporters, for another successful Night at the Races event. This is our one primary fundraiser each year which helps local community service projects, other non-profits and the Bill Bommer Scholarship fund. Some of you attend, buy horses, sponsor ads/programs/horse races, donate gifts (time/talent/treasures) for raffle baskets, and even help recruit and encourage others to do the same. Many of you respond year after year without hesitation. Meanwhile we are always excited to welcome those of you that it may be your very first year sponsoring or attending. Without you this would not be possible. And we are excited to say this was another extremely successful year...and most likely only 2nd to last year for highest ever in net proceeds (early results suggest we are only about $500 less than last year’s record and with perhaps 40 less people with the attendance approximately 290). If it ever was of interest to you, please reach out if you’d ever like to join as a member to our local Lions club or another in your area. It’s a very low pressure/low commitment but hyper local way of giving back to those in your area.
